Process Overview
Enterprise STI team manages the technical delivery of DNS, DHCP and IP Address Management Services. This includes the proactive management of equipment lifecycles, Release and Deployment activity, Validation and Testing/Sustained Engineering - including Tier3 escalation support
Job Description
The role requires experience and administration of traditional Network infrastructure as well as specialized configuration expertise in DNS and DHCP. DNS DHCP IP Address Management Lead analyst will work closely with other engineers, leads, and the banks lines of business to provide holistic DNS, DHCP, IP Address Management, and related UNIX Sys Admin for our business DDI eco-partners
Responsibilities
Releases and deployments for complex projects and changes and infrastructure changes. Change Reviews Configuration compliance audits and remediation Validating, testing of services Activities to ensure service availability; such as planning for new configuration standards Tier3 escalation support Provides the process and management of products in service portfolio from inception to disposal of hardware or software. Software Patching and security vulnerability remediation Software and Hardware Currency (in accordance with EARC) Requirements
Education Bachelor of Engineer Certifications If Any - NA Experience Range 8-10 years Systems Administration (UNIX), DDI / Network engineering Mandatory skills
Ability to work in a UNIX based environment, including intermediate level sys admin tasks. Should be proficient in Network protocols such as Ethernet, TCP/IP, and UDP. Able to read network traces to diagnose DNS and DHCP issues. Knowledgeable in the interaction with other Network key components such as Proxies, Firewalls, Routers, Switches, and GTMs. Understands Network-based technologies: demonstrates competency (or capacity to be successful) in the ability to translate customer/business requirements into DNS, DHCP, and IP Address configurations and successfully position with stakeholders. Knowledgeable on Network management and monitoring tools (HP NNMi, Syslog, Splunk, Entuity, Tivoli ITM, HPNA, Cisco CMCS, Netscout, Bladelogic) Firm understanding of IT Service Management processes, program and project management (i.e. MS Project, Excel, Word, hybrid) Experience with ALU VitalQIP, BIND, Infoblox, Linux or Solaris Knowledge of Domain Registrars, Akamai eDNS, DNSSEC, DNS ANYCAST, F5 DNS Express Excellent oral and written communication. Must be able to communicate at all organizational levels Knowledge of one or more of these languages: Perl, Python, Golang, C, C++. Desired Skills:
