The impact you will have in this role: IT Platforms and Capabilities department offers a highly resilient and secure forward looking foundational technical platforms and capabilities that deliver operational efficiencies. Our goal is to develop a standardized forward looking multi-channel approach to access DTCC services and product. And provide a streamlined operational support via end-to-end traffic management / traceability, replay, and data reconciliation capabilities to improve overall client experience and add business value. What Youll Do
  • Participate in requirements gathering with Product owners, business users and domain experts and come up with an elegant solution with the best design.
  • End-to-end data architectural expertise for defining and refining existing & new system data model for OLTP, data warehousing and business intelligence solutions.
  • Sound knowledge with One of the databases - Oracle, Aurora Postgres
  • Programming and optimizing database objects including, Tables, Views, Stored Procs, Functions.
  • Supporting multiple production application releases and maintenance windows during off-peak work hours.
  • Platforms - works with Infrastructure partners to stand up development, testing, and production environments
  • Data Modeling - Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for the given business use-case which would scale effectively.
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk escalates appropriately.
Sound Like You
  • Minimum of 7years of related experience
  • Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience
Talents Needed for Success:
  • 6+ years experience in Database Development & System Analysis
  • Experience with Basics & Advanced SQL. Good knowledge on Oracle / Postgres built in functions and Joins
  • Able to write simple and complex SQL queries.
  • Develop stored procedures PL SQL (or) PL/pgSQL packages functions and other commonly used Oracle objects
  • Advanced understanding of Oracle SQL PL SQL skills and Performance tuning.
  • Deep knowledge of partitioning Indexing and Compression across various OLTP databases.
  • Strong knowledge in tuning of PL SQL (or) PL/pgSQL Procedures time CPU consuming SQL Queries.
  • Deep expertise in data management, data architecture, metadata management, data integration, data governance, data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical), data transport, data quality, and master data management
  • Good understanding of agile development methodologies
  • Proven expertise in any one of the scripting languages such as, PERL, Python, or Shell
  • Experience with database specific CICD tools, such as Liquibase would be a plus
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Good communications skills, both written and verbal.
