Job Description

  • Shall be responsibe to Finalize Material & Manufacturing Method for all the Vehicle Systems components say BIW, Chassis, Suspension, Fasteners to meet the Performance, reliability, manufacturability, repair, Cost & Weight Targets .
  • Shall be responsible to deliver the Technical Skills in the Failure Analysis so as to Fix the Root Cause & to Identify the suitable Corrective Actions .
  • Be responsible for assisting Vehicle System Development programs by involving in supplier evaluation & audit.
  • Involve proactively in the early phase of design to guide Design Engineers with suitable material & process recommendations including trade-off studies
  • Be responsible for creating & updating material properties including variations, endurance strength etc to be used in engineering analysis of design
  • Proactively update materials specification & guidelines to be inline with current Global Standards
  • Develop close relationship with Material testing agencies across India/Globe for conducting specific tests to support the projects / programs
  • Drive and integrate the new technologies in the areas of materials, process & coatings .
  • Shall be able to identify continuously the Potential Value Engineering Proposals & Cost Reduction Activities in the areas of Sheet Metal, Coatings, Fasteners, Forging, Casting, Aluminum & Heat Treated Parts.
  • Shall be able to lead a Team of People to deliver the Organisational Goal by demonstrating a very good Team Work.
  • Should have Very Good Communication Skills and should be a Good Team Player. He/She should be willing to re-lcoate immediately to Chennai .
  • Selection of Materials, Material Benchmarking , Failure Analysis, Metallurgical Testing, Supplier Audits, Basic Knowledge in Patentablity Study, Awareness on Various Global and IS Standards for Material and Testing.
