Product Management drives Vestas Product Strategy making sure that Vestas always has the right competitive product offerings to stay ahead of competitors. Product Management has a global reach into our sales regions, including responsibility for technical sales and bid management, Wind & Site Engineering, and Balance of Plant and SCADA Engineering.Grid Interconnection team is based in Singapore and Chennai. This team is one of the functions in product management. Our role is to support the global Technical Sales Management organization for Wind and hybrid power plant grid interconnection studies and grid code compliance.ResponsibilitiesSimulation and modelling of the wind or hybrid Power Plant including WTG, PV and storageStudying grid interconnection requirement and grid codesAnalyzing site specific grid interconnection solutionsDesign or review the design for the BoP (balance of plant) for wind power plantLead a group of engineers on one of the technical specialized area like harmonic, weak grid connection assessment, system impact analysis, BoP optimization or SSCIDevelopment of the tools, methods and process related to the power system analysis studies.Presentations and meeting with Grid operators/customers for project specific needsWork in close co-ordination with the Regional Technical Sale support teamReport writingQualificationsYou hold a B.E./B.Tech, Masters in power system or PhD with application to the power systemsMinimum Industry experience of 5 years. Out of which 2 years in renewable grid interconnectionYou possess excellent communication skillsYou speak and write English fluentlyCompetenciesKnowledge of simulation tools like PSS/E Power Factory, PSCAD, or equivalentExperience of working for substation design and power system analysisSolid electrical engineering background in relation to the substation engineering, Load flows, short circuit, transient analysis, harmonic assessment, relay settings and co-ordinations and BoPYou are pro-active, self-driven and result oriented attitudeGood at using MS-OFFICE products (WORD, EXCEL, POWER POINT etc),
