Job Description

Fidelity s Security Operations Center (SOC) is seeking a Lead- Information Security. This is an opportunity to contribute and lead a highly visible security operations function with global impact upon Fidelity, its affiliates, business units, partners, and customers. While working as part of this team, the successful individual will provide second level support to cyber incident handling, analysis and response functions in order to detect, protect, respond, and sustain operations within cyberspace.The Value You Deliver

  • Prioritizing and differentiating between potential intrusion attempts and false positives.
  • Escalate to Fidelity s internal and external support teams to assist in analysis and event resolution
  • Document cases, procedures, analysis and investigations accurately and thoroughly
  • Staying up to date with current vulnerabilities, attacks and countermeasures.
The Skills that are Key to this roleTechnical / Behavioral
  • Cyber Incident detection, containment and mitigation/eradication.
  • Experience with monitoring real-time log and network traffic to detect network intrusions and attacks
  • Experience with Splunk or other SIEM (Security Information Event Management) systems. Development of SIEM signatures/alerts.
  • Malware/Exploit analysis and reverse engineering.
  • DFIR-Active incident response.
  • Experience with malware, log and packet analysis including both machine and network attack evaluation to identify attack patterns.
  • Experience on Cloud response. Esp. AWS.
  • Interest and knowledge in learning about security trends.
  • Network and host Forensic root cause analysis.
  • Good in scripting languages like Python.
The Skills that are Good to have for this role
  • A good understanding of security, web based and infrastructure vulnerabilities.
  • Knowledge of Intrusion Detection, various operating systems (Windows/UNIX), and web technologies (focusing on Internet security) is a plus.
How Your Work Impacts the OrganizationThe Security Operations Center (SOC) exists to detect, respond, and mitigate threats to Fidelity detected by network, application and system controls across multiple environments. This is accomplished by ingesting threat intelligence from other ECS teams, as well as those concerns reported by associates as suspicious in nature, and cross referencing it with data signatures from vendor controls at the perimeter and internal. Furthermore, the SOC also proactively hunts throughout the Fidelity network to identify additional unapproved activity that may pose a cyber risk to the firm.SOC also works to align our principles with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in all the areas the framework applies to our job role responsibilities.The Expertise We re Looking For
