Job Code : GPCIL-3247-01 Job Title : Lead (Logistics) Department : Logistics India Role Definition : Responsible for managing the entire purchasing activities for the assigned discipline / Material Group Key Role & Responsibility : Strategic -Leads a team of individual contributors -Responsible for monitoring the market evolution in terms of process, work load of the suppliers and in particular for proposing new suppliers. Operational -Develops vendor base for the material groups -Supports during negotiation with the vendor groups -Analyzes market and delivery systems inorder to assess the present and future material availability -Collaborates with the key individuals across departments to ensure clarity of the speciifications and expectations of the company -Foresee unfavourable events through analysis of data and prepares control strategies -Performs risk management for supply contracts and agreements -Collaborates with PPM and Engineering departments, prepares the vendor list and selects the vendors to inquired for his own sector of commodiities Developmental -Schedules and distributes the work among the various members of his own group Additional Responsibility : +10 million USD +50 orders +10% Budget savings +25 vendors +30% global enquiry success rate +12% Negotiation success Education qualification & Experience : Bachelors degree in Engineering discipline preferably with a MBA or Material Management Diploma Minimum 10 years of total experience in procurement and supply chain management preferably with large EPC organisations Technical Knowledge : Knowledge of Customs and DGFT, Detailed knowledge of Import and Export Procedures, Experience of Project Logistics Preferred SkillSet : Handling Over Dimensional Consignments (ODC), Handling of Break Bulk shipments Good communication and negations skill Targeted Industries : EPC/ Multinational,
