The Ingram Digital Strategy team is looking for a n experienced Lead UX/ UI Designer to drive the customer experience initiatives for its online products. We are looking for a smart and innovative design thinker who is self - sufficient and thrives in ambigu ity, has experience gathering requirements, and can create deliverables for business & technical teams to understand and implement. We are specifically looking for someone with very strong visual presentation and design skills to be able to communicate concepts in modern , clean & elegant ways.

The position involves conducting regular user research, analyzing user data, collecting requirements from business, product and technical teams, preparing and presenting UX and visual design concepts, wireframes and clickable prototypes and work with developers to execute on the design and UX vision.

The ideal candidate will be strong in the following areas:

  • User - centered design thinking and extensive experience collaborating closely with customers, business, and technology teams to design, develop, and enhance user experiences
  • Exceptional design, typographic, layout, and compositing abilities that you are eager to display to our global audience

  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member, while using discretion in decision making and sound judgment in problem solving
  • Familiarity working and delivering in an Agile/SCRUM environment
  • Strong skills using design tools like Sketch, InVision , and Adobe CS
  • Good understanding of the technical foundations upon which websites are built (HTML, CSS, Javascript , etc.)
  • Excellent oral and written skills to effectively communicate in the English language . M ust be able to explain the thought process behind your visual design solutions, and rally people around your stated design goals .
  • Ability to interact with engineering and product on technical topics to i dentify best possible solutions
  • Experience in designing for A/B testing is preferred
  • Solid understanding of qualitative and quantitative data gathering for user research

E ducational & Experience Requirement s

At least 6 years of relevant UX design experience , and minimum of 2 years as a senior /lead level designer

Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new te chnology and complex workflows

Outstanding communicati on skills: written, verbal and visual

Strong skills using Sketch , Adobe CS and InVision

Experience conducting user research and usability tests.

Strong knowledge and practical experience of an Agile software development lifecycle

A BA/BS in Human Computer Interaction , related technical field or equivalent practical experience

HTML, CSS, JS experience a plus
