Job Description

    Logistics EngineerExp- 3 to 5 yrsLocation - ChennaiNp- 15days to ImmediateResponsible to Create MIFA & Warehouse layout2. Responsible for Space optimization in Warehouse (Volumateric utilization)3. Responsible for Material flowStudy - Kitting / Synchro Supply/ Sequence supply/DOL / SAS4. Responsible for Planning Material handling Equipments5. Responsible for Safety operation with standards - PFMEA6. Responsible for Process sheet creation for Warehouse operation.Collect, plot, and analyze material flow by creating PFEP data from Receiving Dock to point of fit . { Ware house / Lines side including racks,bins & Monuments }Develop the Kitting & Synchro material flow (Design & Implement - Kitting layout, Synchro layout , Kitting trolleys, Kit boxes & Synchro trolley)Develop material flow diagram from receiving Dock to point of fit including operators and material handling equipment movements.Implement material flow equipment such as conveyors, EMS systems, AGVs, and ASRS systems from concept to launch. ( New Model Launch / Capacity expansion & Running Changes )Upfront exposure to Surface ( floor space ) assessment with hands-on experience in handling both brown field and green field projects.Challenge assumptions that are not backed up by a thorough engineering evaluation.Work cross-functionally with manufacturing engineers to ensure equipment is compatible with upstream and downstream processes and equipment.Ability to generate scopes of work, select, and manage domestic or international equipment vendors.Conduct time studies for all material handling operational activities through engineering studies , and report required to run head counts.Analyze economic factors when developing alternatives to propose a maximized solution and optimize total cost.Ability to develop, launch and validate projects at multiple sites simultaneously.Work with selected suppliers to ensure project schedules are met and within the defined budget while meeting all success factorsSupport in new packaging review and buy-off process, along with continuously drive for packaging improvement initiatives and/or parts distribution strategy that will lead to waste elimination, enhanced utilization, increased density, and improved efficiency that leads to cost reduction.Represent the material handling team and coordinate material launch activities as per the Stellantis launch process.
