Job Description

Logistics Developer IN, Chennai | Professional | Full-Time | ID: 17193Vestas is the world leader in wind technology and a driving-force in the development of the wind power industry. Come and Join us at Vestas!Assembly & Towers A&T > Region APAC > Regional Logistics APAC You will join the Asia Pacific Logistics team which is responsible for the manufacturing of the majority of wind turbines sold worldwide in Vestas Wind System A/S. Our mission is to deliver the best-in-class wind turbines to our customers, which enable a levelized cost of energy (LCoE) reduction of minimum 6% year on year. This position is responsible for Identifying and implementing supply chain optimizations and promoting continuous improvement activities, projects and facilitate Kaizens within Logistics.Responsibilities

  • Support and optimize the Vestas process that impact logistics together with relevant stakeholders
  • Create and maintain factory Plan for Every Part (PfEP)
  • Communicate requirements and escalate issues to external and internal stakeholders
  • Evaluate purchasing, planning and warehouse core data
  • Responsible for handling ECO PPAP NC related tasks
  • Request new reports for logistics and support development with value chain business cases
  • Create and maintain Value Stream Maps (VSM) for Logistics processes and procedures
  • Ensure that phase in/out is handled, and that obsolete inventory are decreased
  • Release purchase orders and follow up suppliers as well as maintain the relevant master data
  • Fulfil the responsibilities of this position on Fire Accountability System and Health Safety & Environmental management
  • Assist with additional projects and tasks as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree, major in Economics, Engineering, Logistics or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-5 years of working experience as a logistics developer in manufacturing company
  • Good English written and oral skills
  • Knowledge in supply chain management with experience in Supplier Capacity Management
  • Experience in a multi-national environment
Competencies
  • International oriented, experience in dealing with western culture and businesses
  • Skilled on Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel. Good level skills on related IT system within the area of employment (SAP ERP, etc.)
  • Established accountability and negotiation skills, sense of urgency to work within tight deadlines
  • Team-oriented person, Quick learner and the ability to operate in a complex Supply Chain
  • Methodical mind-set combined with sharp and effective communication and stakeholder management skills
