Job Description

Looking for Senior SAP BO & BODS Administrator_MNC_ChennaiLocation :Chennai Project Duration is 3-6 months ( possible extension )Job Description SeniorSAP BO & BODS Administrator

  • 8-10 years of overall work experience
  • 4- 5 yrs of experience inSAP BO /BODS Administration
  • Installed and configured BODS 4.2 on Linux platform it includes IPS and Data services
  • Experience in creation of Web Intelligence, Desktop Intelligence, Rich client and Design Studio.
  • Involved in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, functional requirements and data specifications forBusiness Objects Universesand Reports.
  • Experience in Creation of JOB Server, Repository and troubleshooting JOB server issues.
  • Worked on BODS clustering and splitting BO, BODS database.
  • CreatedUsers and Groups and setting the rights on them using Central Management Console (CMC). Scheduled Reports in CMCon Daily, Monthly, Weekly basis.
  • Customizations to existing BO Universe. Created Web Intelligence documents, build prompt filters on queries, insert and format tables and Charts, organize data in reports.
  • Worked extensively on various BO functionalities like Combined Queries, Drilling methodology, slice and Dice, Cross tab, Master Detail, Breaks, Alerts, Filters, Sorts, Ranking, Prompts, Calculations, Sections, Graphs and Breaks.
  • Extensive knowledge inSQL, PL/SQL & Oracle programming and trouble shooting.
  • Providing access to BO users based on approval.
  • Installed, Configured and Administered Business objects products.
  • Adding, maintaining, and deleting user accounts based on requirement.
  • Creating/Modifying Security on Folders/Applications.
  • Importing objects from one environment to another (e.g., dev to prod) using Promotion Management.
  • Monitoring BO system performance and availability.
  • Clustering and load balancing BO application and BODS servers.
  • Troubleshooting errors and supporting end users. Also troubleshooting if any issues with Reports.
  • Reading and responding to audit reports, log files, etc.
  • Working on Service now tickets and JIRA for any changes on BO systems.
  • If any critical issue with BO, if we are unable to solve, log a OSS with SAP and take a follow-up with them for solution.
  • Regular BO repository Maintenance like Cleaning Orphaned Connection/Universe/Documents
  • Run Audit report and check the statistics of Users accessing various Business objects applications
  • Knowledge on Service market place
