Job Description

    Role Overview:At CGI, you will be joining a team of builders to help the company succeed. CGI is a leading IT and business process services firm with global resources, expertise, and stability. As a Mainframe Test Lead, you will be responsible for QE Testing, mainly focusing on Mainframe application testing in an Agile methodology. Your role will involve conducting testing for complex Peoplesoft/Mainframe systems, Mainframe backend testing, batch execution, and Oracle/DB2 SQL. Additionally, you will need to have hands-on experience in JCL, COBOL, and batch job execution skills. Proficiency in Test Management tools like JIRA and qTest is required, along with the ability to write test plans and test cases based on changes and impacted components. Experience in the Banking/Finance domain is preferred.Key Responsibilities:- 10 years of QE Testing experience with a minimum of 3 years in Mainframe application testing- Ability to conduct testing for complex Peoplesoft/Mainframe systems- Hands-on experience in JCL, COBOL, and batch job execution- Proficient in Test Management tools like JIRA and qTest- Basic knowledge in SQL Queries and databases (Oracle and DB2)- Experience in writing test plans and test cases- Nice-to-have: Understanding of Python code, Financial Business Rule Management System, Test Automation experience, knowledge of Peoplesoft tool, experience with Jenkin, GiT, Python, HELIOS, Qtest, UNIX/LINUX commands, and open-source terminal emulator applicationsQualifications Required:- 6 to 13 years of experience in QE Testing- Experience in Mainframe application testing- Proficiency in JCL, COBOL, batch job execution, SQL Queries, and Test Management tools- Knowledge of Banking/Finance domain- Understanding of Python code, Financial Business Rule Management System, and Test Automation experience is a plusAdditional Details:CGI offers a competitive compensation package with opportunities for growth and professional development.
