Job Description

PURPOSE:A skilled and experienced ACS professional who manages Bank s Physical Security platform on LENEL & MILESTONESkills:

  • LENEL certified Engineer.
  • At least 7+ years of experience in managing LENEL & or other ACS systems through certified service providers (VAR for LENEL).
  • Strong understanding of LENEL Enterprise from a management, development & operations standpoint.
  • Prior experience in configuring LENEL systems & troubleshooting aspects such as APBs, segmentation, reader configuration, replications etc is desirable.
  • Good communication skills with ability to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Must have worked on LENEL 7.2 & upwards.
  • Basic knowledge in working on a windows server environment such as database servers, services management, event log management, network connectivity etc.
  • Experience in working with video monitoring solutions for example Milestone is an added advantage
  • Working knowledge on video analytics software and its integration with LENEL is an added advantage
RESPONSIBILITIESThe Job holder is responsible for:
  • Plan, manage Infrastructure: Regularly review infrastructure, software requirements for all upcoming needs & ensure environment runs with optimal capacity. This refers but not limited to underlying hardware such as CPU, RAM disk space & server software such as readers, panels, licenses, firmware, badge types, formats etc.
  • Manage Operational Issues: This job holder will be responsible in managing & resolving various technical issues that would arise in a daily operational day. He / she will be responsible to work with respective country / regional teams in a collaborated effort of issue resolving.
  • Develop: Be able to develop / lead a development team that is responsible in delivering any customized solutions on LENEL.
  • Support: Support various country migrations to enterprise, enhancements & integrations
  • Report: Regularly report health statistics of the overall environment & suggest necessary changes. This includes optimization of server capacity, licenses balancing, data replications etc.
  • Proactive issue resolution: Ensure sufficient controls are in place in identifying potential errors on servers proactively for necessary fixes.
  • People Management: Manage a small team of LENEL engineers
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • Experience and a track record of successful LENEL implementations of complex, large scale projects within a large, & changing environment.
  • Experience and deep good understanding of other non-LENEL system is nice to have.
  • Strong communication skills oral, written and presentation.
  • Pragmatic, customer-focused approach. Expert problem solving and solution finding skills, with a proven ability to manage / influence senior leaders and challenge appropriately.
  • Market Knowledge: awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the firm operates.
  • Business Strategy and Model: awareness and understanding of the firm s business strategy and model appropriate to the role.
  • Proven experience in managing external vendors.
  • Risk Management and Control: proven ability to identify, assess, monitor, control and mitigate risks. Also, an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the firm and the role the individual plays in managing them.
  • A proven ability to work independently and make balanced judgments / decisions.
  • A team player; multi-culturally aware with proven success working with cross-functional project teams in global service delivery model (with onshore and offshore resources). Proven ability to create a strong network.
  • Adept at using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
