Job Description

    Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
    • Should Be costing for Trim- external, Internal, Instrument Panel, Soft Trims & NVH Components for new projects
    • Part cost Estimations to be done at different stages of the project- Business case, Target costing, Concept stage, supplier nominations etc
    • Estimation of benchmarking external as well as internal vehicles
    • Tracking cost status at different stages of development with respect to Business Case
    • Study of cost drivers to optimize the cost through various alternative & optimized process
    • Support Sourcing & Engineering team with cost analysis reports to support process selections & supplier negotiations
    • Identify areas of cost reduction through design iteration & assist design to achieve the cost targets
    • Study & drive implementation of new technology
    • for cost opportunity
    • Study New & existing manufacturing processes at supplier end to Prepare Costing guidelines & std estimation TemplatesCoordinate & collaborate with sourcing & Engineering team for updating of Master rate files & Technical data sheets
    • Work on improvements in estimation process & achieve targeted time for estimation cycle
    • Drive & follow Design to Cost culture in the organization
    • Establish strong working relations with customers for collaborative working
    Preferred Industries AutomobileFarm Sector Education Qualification B.E Mech / Production /Automobile / Diploma in polymer/ Diploma CPET General Experience 8-12+ years in Sourcing / CDMM /Product Development / Manufacturing Critical Experience
    • Knowledge of functional parts of Trims Exterior, Interior, Instrument panel, Soft Trims, NVH etc
    • Should Posses knowledge on the following process
    • Injection Molding, Vaccum Forming, SMC molding, Blow Molding, Thermoforming, FRP etc
    • Plastic Decorative processes - Painting, Plating & Other Decorative Plastic process
    • Plastic joining & Assly processes- Welding, Gluing, fastening etc
    • Should posses software knowledge on CAD & 3D drawing tools, Excel , Word , & ppt
    • Good Analytical Skill & Commercial Acumen
    • Customer focused, Self-driven, Motivated & passionate
