Job Description

Qualification: B.E / B.Tech (1st Preference - Electronics & Communications, 2nd - Preference Electrical & Electronics Engg) from good universities, such as SRM, VIT, MIT, BITS, etc.

  • No of years of experience: Minimum 2-3 years post training in a reputed OEM / Tier 1 Supplier, specifically in Embedded Software Development in the Automotive Domain Functional Skills ( Pl specify critical skills too) Experience
  • Software development experience using software development lifecycle(SDLC) processes (CMMi, ASPICE) and methodologies (V-model and Agile/Scrum)
  • Hands on experience on coding C/C++, HMI design, Matlab model based design for embedded software development in Automotive domain.
  • Hands on experience of software development for Cluster, Infotainment, BCMs, Telematics, ADAS etc.
  • Hands on experience on testing tools like CANalyzer, CANoe, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills for resolution of software issues.
  • Hands on experience on usage of 5-Why analysis, 8-D reports & DFMEA tools .
  • Exposure Knowledge on tools like DOORS, RTC, Matlab, Simulink, ClearCase, ClearQuest, RADAR, JIRA, QAC, etc.
  • Good knowledge on MISRA standards, QAC warnings and Functional Safety.
  • Familiar with basic concepts of Software Quality and Process Familiar with Requirements management, Configuration management, Software Defect tracking and traceability.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • To actively participate in the Design & Development Phase along with the CFT.
  • To analyse the software requirements for feasibility, before sending to suppliers.
  • To estimate the SW efforts for the particular developments (maybe a new project or an ECN).
  • To conduct periodic reviews on the progress of SW Development deliverables with suppliers.
  • To audit the SW before delivery of the SW for the major build phases of the project / development.
  • To do a deep-dive analysis of the issues reported in the audit or testing and identify appropriate preventive & corrective actions to eliminate the issues.
  • To aid in creation of a database for all learnings / things gone wrong / things gone right in the past development projects so as to prevent such non-conformities in the future.
  • To aid in Software Development Process Audit (CMMi / ASPICE) at suppliers.
Soft Skills:
  • Must be able to work very well in a Team & have experience of working in CFTs.
  • Must have excellent Linguistic Skills in English. Any local or foreign languages will be a plus.
  • Must have excellent presentation skills
  • Must be sophisticated & suave to handle Multinational Suppliers.
  • Must have dedication, commitment and focussed approach for completing tasks on time, without compromise on Quality. Other specific requirement ( Industry , Institute etc preferences)
  • Prefer someone with experience in an Automotive OEM or Tier 1 Electronics Parts supplier.
  • Should have a good academic record from a premier Engg Institute such as IITs, NITs, BITS, MIT (Manipal Inst of Tech), Anna University, VIT (Vellore Inst of Tech), etc.
