Job Title Manager, Systems Engineering What does a great Systems Engineering, Manager II do The Application Specialist, Manager II is responsible for works with multidisciplinary delivery team, be responsible for the deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, automating and maintenance of UCOM application based clients.A high degree of collaboration with Development, Project Management and other Infrastructure teams is required to provide right level of agility within a defined delivery process. The ideal candidate will leverage a consultative approach, exhibit strong leadership skills, will be forward thinking, and will be able to work effectively across a multitude of technical and non-technical groups in a diverse and talented team, continuously striving for excellence.What you will do:
• Leads and have strong troubleshooting skills and leads the path to root cause identification; makes recommendations for long-term resolution of problems across multiple platforms.
• Leads complex initiatives and issues within an application platform involving multiple cross-functional teams.
• Work across application platforms and influence improvements
• Recommends strategies for process and monitoring improvement.
What you will need to have:
• Excellent experience in handling people from different domains.
• Hands on Handling incidents and handling critical issues.
• Solid experience as application production support Engineer in a 24x7 uptime environment, including automation experience with configuration management tools.
• Understanding of databases.
• Experience with implementing micro services architecture and build/deploy automated, scalable and maintainable infrastructure.
• Experienced in runtime, build and deployment technologies and state-of-the-art project tools: CI/CD, GIT, Maven, Eclipse, JIRA and Confluence.
• Ability to analyze the load test results and recommend the appropriate tuning measurements.
• Experience with log parsing technologies like splunk, elk.
• Experience with tools like App Dynamics, Dyna Trace, vrops etc.
• 5 years total engineering, production support and administration or similar experience.
• Bachelor s degree or technical degree or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 15 years of experience in similar industry.
• Experience working on a matrix team consisting of a variety of Infrastructure Engineering groups, as well as Development groups and Client Relationship groups.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies required for accomplishing project goals.
• Strong customer service skills with high level of professionalism, and ability to work with complex situations.
• Proven ability to collaborate across multiple sites and geographic areas.
• Must have the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects or tasks.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Ability to work closely with Project Management to communicate status and identify risks to project timelines.
• Possess troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
• Keen attention to detail
• Defines the operating structure, processes, procedures and talent profiles required to build a world class team.
• Manages performance, coaches team leaders and members, and resources team appropriately to deliver on objectives while driving a culture of excellence.
• Establishes and enables a proactive, outcomes-oriented culture of accountability and partnership within the teams where not my job is not an answer.
• Provides leadership and hands-on technical direction to deliver problem, solution, tactical, and break-fix capability.
• Oversees and provides leadership direction during operational incidents, ensuring necessary resourcing and availability of subject matter expertise proactive, business communications.
• Facilitates genesis of solutions in a productive, efficient manner, working across technologies and geographies to deliver customer-focused business outcomes.
• Delivers change and incident management to drive industry leading operational excellence.
• Drives successful business outcomes beyond the immediate incident or need.
• Must have excellent communications and presentation Skills.
• Provide guidance and leadership toward improving IT operational challenges and efficiencies driving better response/resolution capabilities.

• Willingness and capability to quickly learn new technologies required for accomplishing project goals.
• Extensive troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills
• Capable of exercising discretion and independent judgment
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
• Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or Business or equivalent degree is desirable.
• Minimum 12 years of experience as a Systems Engineer
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Manager role
