Job Description

    Position: Medical Coder (Specialization in Radiology, Denial, Anesthesia, E/M Inpatient & Outpatient Coding)Location: Guindy, ChennaiExperience: 2-6 yearsQualification: Coder Certification (CPC, CCS, or relevant certification is mandatory)Key Responsibilities:
    1. Radiology Coding:
      • Assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for radiology procedures (e.g., X-rays, CT scans, MRIs).
      • Ensure compliance with relevant coding guidelines and payer-specific requirements.
      • Review and interpret radiology reports for proper code assignment.
    2. Denial Coding:
      • Analyze and resolve coding denials related to services rendered.
      • Identify trends in denials and work with the billing department to prevent future issues.
      • Provide documentation and justification for code resubmission, where necessary.
    3. Anesthesia Coding:
      • Accurately code anesthesia services, including the administration, monitoring, and related procedures.
      • Ensure compliance with anesthesia-specific guidelines and payer policies.
      • Maintain knowledge of anesthesia modifiers and time units.
    4. E/M Inpatient & Outpatient Coding:
      • Perform accurate coding for Evaluation and Management (E/M) services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
      • Apply correct E/M coding based on documentation and level of care provided (e.g., consultation, office visit, hospital visit).
      • Ensure accurate reporting of services based on the level of care and complexity of patient conditions.
