Job Description

    DescriptionDXC Technology India is seeking MES Specialist (GE Proficy Plant Applications).We look for candidates who are digital natives and demonstrate dexterity in utilizing technology to solve real manufacturing problems.The MES Specialist is an experienced multi-skilled professional, with hands on experience in Proficy Plant Applications support/development. He/she is a good team player, who is part of a team responsible for delivering end-to-end application development/support/deployment services to customers. He/she collaborates with professionals in the regional and worldwide.The main goal is to ensure DXC delivers application services and to continuously improve our maturity in processes and technology, resulting in best in class technology implementationThe Engineer is motivated to take strong ownership on actions, to find innovative ways to improve the services agility and efficiency, and to continuously gain more skills.As a team member good exposure will be provided to you on latest technologies and you well get chance to work on Quality, Production execution and Maintenance modules of MES.Roles and Responsibilities
    • Understand the MES program business goals, objective, business process, Line design, products, solution architecture, technical solution
    • Think creatively to solve the user problem with holistic and simple solution
    • Support to maintain and improve the application functionality.
    • Drive best practices within teams with respect to coding standards and guidelines. Understand the global template and review the configuration templates applicable for the respective Site / Line.
    • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
    • Configure plant application Model, Specifications, Global Parameters in Dev / QA / Prod boxes.
    • Ensure overall quality and success of the project vis-a-vis defined objectives.
    • Ability to learn and adapt to new frameworks/technologies.
    • Creating a process for continuous improvement and capturing lesson learnt.
    Desired Candidate Profile
    • Experienced in GE Proficy Plant Application developmental & implementation projects, Proficy Historian, experienced in creating, debugging SQL Procedures.
    • Technical Knowledge on GE Proficy Plant Apps Modules such as Maintenance, Reliability, Production Execution, Quality etc.
    • Hands on experience in Plant Application Server, SQL Server, Historian & OPC Server.
    • Understanding on Interface with ERP/SAP.
    • Techno-functional experience in Manufacturing IT Solutions space to understand the customer business process requirements and objectives.
    • Ability to handle technical challenges and open to learn.
    • Ready to work in shifts.
    Nice to have skills:
    • Experience in deploying MES for CPG customers Feminine Care, Family care, Baby care, Personal Care Products.
    • Experience in creating / debugging / deploying complex Stored Procedures.
    • Knowledge of industry standards e.g. S95, S88 etc.
    • Techno-functional experience on Manufacturing automation (MES /OPC,Historian,) projects.
