Middle Office Transaction Management Lead - Vice President 2

Job Description

In this role, you will work with State Street teams from around the globe to lead a team supporting multiple global premier investment management clients. You will have leadership and strategy responsibility to oversee and deliver all day-to-day transactional responsibilities of the transaction management team in a fast-paced, flexible, and exciting environment. The role will require you to initiate and develop good communication and interpersonal relationships with business operations teams and IT to maintain the high level of service currently being provided to all clients.As Vice President, you will be responsible for:- Managing the corresponding Transaction Management team in the location for multiple clients- Driving transaction management and settlement discipline excellence through proactive management of the trade lifecycle- Driving transformation initiatives, including automation and process improvements- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and managing associated risks- Developing a strong risk management and control environment- Conducting high-level analysis in specific areas of expertise, identifying and resolving work-processing issues, making suggestions to streamline operations, and implementing them- Reviewing, recommending, and driving process improvement initiatives- Supporting and proactively managing Client Change Request items impacting the Enterprise processes and Operating Models- Communicating effectively on issues/problems to the Client and SSC management and ensuring proper and timely follow-up for resolution- Providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to the members of your team- Engaging with senior leadership and stakeholders to present insights and growth plans- Demonstrating excellent analytical skills and the ability to analyze on the spotThe skills valued for this role include:- Deep and extensive asset management experience, including investment operations, fund accounting, and portfolio valuation- Broad and in-depth understanding of the asset management industry, gained through working in various asset management disciplines- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills- Client-centric attitude in managing, prioritizing, and delivering operations and services- Trade and reconciliation break investigations experience- Strong communication and presentation skills to audiences of different sizes and levels of seniority- Self-motivation, adaptability, and initiative under pressure- Commercial acumen, experience in leading and delivering operations in line with costs/budgets- Strong understanding of the risk and controls environment within a G-SIFI firm, with a desire to embed a risk excellence culture across teams- Executive presence, managing with influence and effective communication across stakeholder groups regionally and globally- Flexibility in working outside your responsibilities and areas of expertise, collaborating across functions/business and locations- Result-oriented with an ownership and accountability mindsetEducation & Preferred Qualifications:- Degree in finance, business, technology, or equivalent relevant industry experience- Proven experience in client communication and interaction at all levels- In-depth understanding of Middle Office operations, preferably Trade Management Operations inclusive of trade confirmation, settlement & reconciliation. Product and Industry knowledge preferable across Equity, FI, FX, and ETD, inclusive of Global Markets- Understanding of key technology within the support of investment management operations- Experience in driving organizational change, with an understanding of change management principles, techniques & tools- Experience in leveraging technology solutions including low-code tools, SQL, Python, or similar is advantageous- Strong MS Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint skills necessary- Strong English written and spoken ability,
