Our Infrastructure Architects are responsible for keeping up with the latest and greatest of these changes and using their expertise to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our customers and products.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs an Architect, you will be an exemplary technical leader in his/her areas of practice. Bring deep experience and strategic insight spanning from Architecture, Design and Development leadership which are among the best in the industry.This role is crucial to developing cutting edge enterprise-ready solutions for clients worldwide specially using emerging technologies. The role would involve working with project managers and SMEs in taking up challenging/complex projects to develop and execute complex solutions for IBM clients worldwide. He or she will prioritize building critical intellectual capital that may eventually be leveraged by the wider IBM audience through development of best-in-class reusable assets often using bleeding edge technologies on First of a Kind projects.Responsibilities:

• Provide technical thought leadership to innovate and build differentiating assets in migration and modernization of platforms (e.g. OS, middleware, ) in on-prem and cloud environment
• Perform cross business unit collaboration for technology solutions in migration and modernization
• Design and build reusable solutions that can be implemented to migrate and modernize infrastructures (physical, virtual and container-based) and application within or across data centers (i.e. on-prem, private cloud, public cloud, dedicated cloud or hybrid cloud)
• Responsible to collect and analyze the clients technical and business requirements, along with current IT and cloud environments
• Work closely with the solution design teams a/o Delivery Team in developing client presentations and Statements of Work (SOW)
• Define Discovery, planning and migration strategy and approach
• Design Migration Facility and create migration patterns
• Create migration Low Level Design (LLD)
• Create Work Instructions / Run Books for migration events
• Evangelize technical vision and strategy internally and externally
• Ability to define requirements, write proposals, and deliver against SOW scopes and requirements
• Proven Client management skills, including conflict resolution, scope management, engagement management
• Experience with major cloud providers including Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud
• Experience with containers, container orchestration, APIs and microservices is essential
• Prepare Solution Design documents for chosen tools
• Good understanding of common operating systems (Windows, Linux, UNIX, etc.)
• Knowledge about Migration tools like RackWare, Double-Take, AppZero, Platespin, VMWare VMotion, SRM, Carbonite, Zerto, AWS CloudEndure, Azure Migrate, etc
• Collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Minimum of 10 plus years of experience as IT Architect and should have minimum 3 years experience as Architect in middleware of cloud platforms.
• Provides technical direction to teams on architecting, designing, building and deploying cloud solution for enterprise applications.
• Solid knowledge and extensive experience on WMQ / WAS / IBM Integration Bus (IIB), JBoss / IIS, Oracle Middleware
• knowledge on IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, Google, Oracle and Vmware technologies
• Leads infrastructure and application migration to cloud
• Consults on implementing cost optimized cloud solutions (based on usage, business requirements and budget)
• Good understanding of cloud security frameworks and cloud Security standards
• Proven knowledge of application architecture, networking, security, reliability and scalability concepts; software design principles and patterns
• Knowledge in Networking line, Firewalls, Load Balancers, VLAN, DNS, CDN, Switches etc.
