The underwriter needs to ensure completeness, accuracy and consistency of documentation and data and ensuring file meets both lender as well as secondary market investors guidelinesUS mortgage underwriting/QA/QC experienceStrong understanding of Desktop Underwriter (DU) and Loan Prospector(LP)Analyze income & employment, credit strength, property appraisal; check over debt to income (DTI) and Loan to Value (LTV) and all other information pertinent to the credit decision process on each mortgage application, as presented by the applicantUnderwriter to validate that a prospective mortgagors loan application adheres to the lenders, Investors (Freddie or Fannie Maes) and guidelines of applicable government agencies to approve the loanAnalyzing the risk involved in approving a loan to determine whether or not it is acceptable to the lenderReviewing loan conditions and identifying gaps (if any)Mark errors for any deficiencies observed on the loanVerify accuracy of supporting employment documents, source of down payment/reserves, appraisal value and property title commitment receivedReview of legal documents, if present, to ensure the accuracy & completenessIdentify the mortgage insurance requirement (MI) and follow the MI guidelines, if applicable.Additional responsibilities for the Pre-Funding Underwriter include:Maintaining service level standardsSupporting Team Leader and other Team Members to deliver the optimum level of outputResponding to all emails efficientlyAdhering to all process deadlinesPerson SpecificationKnowledge/Experience:Minimum 1 to 2 years of mortgage underwriting experienceKnowledge of full loan cycle processing (from beginning to end)Strong understanding of all mortgage related documentsCompetencies/Skills:Strong communication skillsStrong analytical skillsProven organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task skills.Flexible (Willingness to work in night shift),Knowledge of MS OfficePositive and flexible attitudeAttention to detailCustomer focusedGood Team Player/Strong Interpersonal skillsPlease mail your updated resume to email id: lawrence@laconsultancy.inAlso furnish the following details:
