The position requires an ability to provide technical support in troubleshooting issues, upgrading the require applications when needed, providing technical and directional support to Operations L1/2 Managed Services team members. The SCBE Engineer engaging with the Operations team to ensure that operational responsibilities associated with monitoring and managing performance within the Site Batch/ETL platforms is maintained as required to meet internal and external SLAs. In addition, the SCBE Software Engineer will assist in troubleshooting of maintenance related issues and will engage with development resources to implement sustainable and manageable solutions. The SCBE Engineer resource will be required to develop and implement scripting to assist in the automation and monitoring solutions.Data Integration Engineer/AdministratorThe Data Infrastructure Engineer defines and drives strategy for availability, scalability, manageability and agility. In addition, they assess new and emerging new technologies and industry trends for internal adoption and/or contribution.Responsibilities

• Provide extensive administration support and technical leadership for all aspects of the Informatica components, installation, configuration, setting up grid environments with high availability; managing server activations and de-activations for all environments; ensuring that all systems and procedures adhere to organizational best practices
• Day to day administration of the Informatica Suite of services (PowerCenter, EIC/Axon, IDS, Metadata, Glossary and Analyst).
• Informatica capacity planning and on-going monitoring (e.g. CPU, Memory, etc.) of the stability of all environments including product performance and utilization to proactively increase capacity as needed.
• Build automation tools for any activity performed in the infrastructure such as upgrades, activations and deactivations, etc.
• Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.
• Develop and interpret organizational goals, policies, and procedures.
• Evaluate the organizations technology use and needs and recommend improvements, such as software upgrades.
• Prepare and review operational reports or project progress reports.
• Assist in the daily operations of the Architecture Team (a functional unit within the Business Intelligence Group), analysing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards, and setting deadlines.
• Work with vendors to manage support SLA s and influence vendor product roadmap
• Provide leadership and guidance in technical meetings, define standards and assist/provide status updates
• Continued growth as a technical expert in data integration technologies and solutions.
• Work with cross functional operations teams such as systems, storage and network to design technology stacks
• Exhibits strong business knowledge and builds strong customer relationships.
• Understanding of the Eco system such as schedulers, databases, Linux/Unix systems, other ETL tools
