Job DescriptionMaersk is currently looking to hire Nautical & Marine Compliance Superintendent for our Technical Fleet Team in Mumbai.Maersk Line Fleet Management & Technology (FM&T) is responsible for all aspects of Ship Management of all the Maersk owned container vessels. Ship Management operations are primarily conducted out of Copenhagen, Singapore, and Mumbai.An opportunity is now available for a career-minded professional to join us as a Nautical & Marine Compliance Superintendent in Marine Standards in Mumbai.As Nautical & Marine Compliance Superintendent, you will be part of the Maersk, Marine Standards Team, which is an established function in Maersk, Fleet Management & Technology. As an organization we strongly believe in a people-centric approach with emphasis on employee engagement and work-life balance.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:You will be responsible for a range of daily operational tasks as well as be part of strategic tasksProvide support to our vessels in areas related personal and asset safetyEnsure safe, reliable and cost-effective ship management for the vessels under ML Fleet Management & Technology (MLFMT) responsibilityEnsure that MLFMT operate fully aligned with the companys core values as well as goals commonly set by the Management of MLFMT and with a foresight to prepare for the projected growth with respect to safety, competence building, human resources, systems and proceduresCompliance with International and Local legislationWE ARE LOOKING FOR:The ideal candidate should have shipboard experience as Senior deck officer or Senior engineer. A keen interest or experience in Regulatory/ Compliance aspects is a prerequisite.Performance : Maintain an overview of all Nautical, Safety and Compliance matters for vessels under your responsibility and support vessels, Fleet Groups, and Service Providers with respect to supply and maintenance of Navigation, LSA, FFA, GMDSS-equipment and weather program. Objectives stated in the individual Appraisal Report Develop and conduct Nautical, safety and compliance campaigns / initiatives Contribute in improving the results of Internal and External office audits (DOC audits). Assigned or responsible for reports in Safety Management System attended and addressed timely to ensure continued compliance. Assist in companys SMS content review.
