Job Description

Summary:

  • Be an active contributor for operations, business continuity and build document repository. Customer focused with the ability to work and interact with different teams and individuals. Abide by the best practices and procedures of the client and employer;
  • Work with global network counter parts and execute Network projects to the local BU. Candidate should be aware of Agile methodology and frequently manage Rally updates on the network task/projects. Should be comfortable to work in matrix organization and will be required to work / report to multiple Managers.

Requirements:

  • 10- 12 years or more experienced professional, responsible to ensure all LAN/WAN network equipment are available, reachable and functional at all times for the Business and the end- users. Support, manage and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, remote access, wireless, and other network devices. (Cisco, Fortinet).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and excellent presentation skills. Well versed in English.
  • Also ready to work in a 24*7 Work environment.

Mandatory Technical Skills :

  • TCP/IP & OSI models, WAN & LAN topologies and Other Networking concepts: DNS, DHCP, TACACS, FTP, SNMP, Frame- Relay, load balancers and strong IP Networking skills, policy- based routing.
  • L1 physical layer technologies Basics - Gig/10G Ethernet, CAT6 & Fiber cabling. L2 technologies ARP, VLANs/VLAN tagging, VTP, Spanning Tree, Port- Channeling & Stacking. L3 technologies IP Subnetting, IP routing, routing protocols BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, GLBP, VRRP & HSRP.
  • Network security Firewalls ( Cisco or Fortigate ) /ACLs, IPSec, GRE, VPN & Layer 7 inspection services, NAT and PAT concepts.
  • Network Wireless Administration in cisco or Aruba.
  • Strong knowledge in Switching technologies Cisco 6500/6900, Nexus 7K, 5K, 2K, VPC, FEX, VDC, Cisco VSS.
  • Strong knowledge and handson in Routing technologies: Handling Cisco ISR/ASR routers, Protocols include RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, PW, VRF, L3 VPN s, IPsec, VPNs, CoS, Intelligent WAN, SDWAN
  • Wireless: Cisco WLC, Cisco Prime
  • Knowledge on Amazon Cloud computing and network features in AWS.
  • Load Balancer: Knowledge on Netscaler, F5 administration, Amazon ALB work experience.
  • Proxy: Knowledge on proxy PAC file changes, building/setting up private proxy nodes.
  • Scripting: Basic understanding on one of the scripting language Phython, pearl, shell scripting.
  • Any projects done on this scripting language will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge or work experience in cisco ACI, Cisco Software Defined Access (SDA) environment are added advantage & Knowledge and Experience working within a Service Oriented Architecture.
  • Ability to document and maintain Network support documentation (e.g., processes procedures, workflows, communication/training material, service catalog, etc.)
  • Ability to lead the development of new processes and procedures within Networking with stakeholders from across IT groups and business units.
  • Strong relationship management experience.
