Job Description

    Position: Offshore Structural Engineer (SACS)Location: ChennaiExperience: 5to 15 yearsResponsibilities:
    • Perform design & analysis for offshore structures (jackets & topsides) in pre-service (loadout, transport, lifting, flotation, upending, stability, pile drivability) and in-service (in-place, fatigue, seismic, pushover, ship impact) conditions.
    • Work on offshore greenfield & brownfield projects.
    • Use 3D model review software like Navisworks Freedom & TEKLA.
    • Execute installation engineering designs, including grillage & sea-fastening, rigging, spreader bars, lifting lugs, trunnions calculations.
    • Ensure project execution follows technical, quality, and contractual requirements as per Discipline Lead/Senior Engineer instructions.
    • Perform structural engineering tasks for offshore conceptual studies, FEED, estimates, and detailed engineering (construction drawings, analysis reports).
    • Select optimal solutions from a technical & economical perspective.
    • Ensure efficient design data flow within the team.
    • Review MTOs, Material Requisitions, vendor documentation & technical evaluations.
    • Conduct offshore site surveys as needed
    • Coordinate with design teams to ensure compliance with technical & execution aspects
    • Maintain discipline design documents, reports, MTOs, and quality records until project closure.
    Qualifications & Skills:
    • Bachelors in Civil Engineering (Masters in Structural/Offshore preferred).
    • 5 to 15 years of offshore structural analysis & design experience in oil & gas.
    • Proficiency in SACS, STAAD Pro, USFOS, GRLWEAP (ANSYS is an advantage).
    • Familiarity with API, DNV, ISO, AISC, BS, ASTM, EUROCODE standards.
    • Strong technical expertise in offshore steel structure design & material specifications.
