Job Description

    • Develop and maintain market research tools, market analysis
    • Developed models to effectively trade virtuals and physical ICE products for US power markets, contributing positively to optimization and trading efforts
    • Work as a member of the trading team to manage short term trading portfolios
    • Build relationship with market participants
    • Works closely with Analytics Group, independently, to develop and maintain the research and analysis tools required for effective trading and decision-making
    • Maintains up to date knowledge of industry regulations and potential changes that may affect the markets
    • Actively formulate and manage electricity trading strategy by analyzing market
    • Model Development - Interact with Traders regarding financial market trends to research and develop new models
    • Utilize model output to profitably engage in the proprietary trading of financial energy products
    • Work with Traders and Risk Analytics to develop tools that track and analyze current and anticipated market trends
      • Negotiating skills in order to identify, negotiate, and close on sales and purchase opportunities
      • Price indicative and firm quotes for clients
      • Have continuous interaction with Sales on trading/hedging ideas
      • Manage risk position of the desk within the applicable limits and desk risk tolerance
      • Bachelors degree (Economics, Finance or Technical degree preferred), Master degree is a plus
