Job Description

    Oracle DBA L1Exp- 3 to 6 yrsLocation- ChennaiNp- 15days to ImmediateDatabase ManagementDatabase MonitoringPerform 24 X 7 monitoring of all the critical parameters for the database such as:Table space, segmentAvailability of background processesBuffer cache utilizationRedo log contentionResource intensive queries through AWR reportsFragmentation of table spaces, tables and indexesPerform maintenance activities like index maintenance as per the Customer s policy provided during transition-Memory for the RDBMSsDisk free spaceAlert logs for errorsDatabase backup LogsUnsuccessful loginsMonitor system performance and provide performance data to CustomerAvailability monitoringDC and DR sync verification, if the sync check is automated (like sql log shipping and oracle data guard)Database Administrationo Create, modify and delete database and database objectso Create, modify and delete jobso Perform periodic database performance tuning as per the documented procedureso Adhere to automated daily checklist for database maintenance as providedo Perform maintenance activities like index maintenance as per the Customer s policy provided during transition-o Perform orderly start-up and shutdown of database serviceso Client remote delivery team will take customer onsite DC operations support personnel (at the Customer s data center ) help to Restore databases in the event of a server crasho Add, modify and delete permissions to database objects and troubleshoot user loginso Rectify database configuration problemso Based on Customers policy provided during transition:o Perform regular defragmentation activities for better space management and performanceo Grant and revoke database access to userso Perform DR Drill and coordinate with all stakeholders.o Housekeeping on DC / DR server- cleaning up of Archive logs and Alert logs/transaction logso Data or database objects or any queries/stored procedures (trigger/function/package/procedure) related changes will not be part of infrastructure support of databaseo Re-build DR in case of crash
