Job Description

  • Strong PI Development Experience Should have OSI PI working experience for 3-5 years on Latest version of OSI PI
  • Person with proven skills in implementing various OSI PI connector for integrating data from Client Total Plant Batch system is preferable.
  • Experience in the following interface technologies:
OPC, Custom implementation of API interfaces, Batch File interfaces, PI UFL for web scraping interfaces, PITOPI, PIRDBMS Experience within the OSIsoft PI suite with tools like AF SDK, PI Coresight, PI WebAPI, PI Processbook and PI Integrators strongly desirable Experience with Microsoft SQL server queries, integration and reporting is a plus
  • Experience working in the Oil and Gas Domain is strongly preferred. Candidate with Automation background with knowledge of PLC/SCADA/DCS systems will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of VB.Net or C Knowledge of System Integration Testing and Unit Testing Knowledge of OSIsoft PI-SDK and AF-SDK programming Skills Attributes
  • Excellent verbal and written English communications Competent user of Microsoft office products including use of Word and Excel Good organizational and time management skills Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively and flexibly with a team Able to set priorities proactive and self-directed and manage workloads in order to meet deadlines
  • Exp 6- 8 years
Job responsibilities:
  • Understand requirements from Client and deliver on time
  • Maintain and create PI Tags
  • Manage interfaces and Create when needed
  • Maintain PI servers
  • Create and maintain ACE calculations and AF analytics
  • Troubleshoot datalink and process book issues
  • Troubleshoot user tickets
  • Patch all servers
  • Develop and maintain API interfaces
  • Manage current OPC DA and OPC HDA data (making sure the flow of data is working and consistent)
  • Work with process control to troubleshoot any issues they may be having
  • Maintain and enhance current PI topology
  • Clean up bad and stale tags
  • Maintain all interfaces
  • Help troubleshoot and write PI expressions
  • Maintaining PI backups (it has been automated this with task scheduler, but need to make sure it is working properly)
  • Maintain Information management servers on process control network
  • Monitoring logs for errors and issues with PI system (PI and windows Log everything)
  • Manage PI data Archives
  • Manage and troubleshoot connections/threads overwhelming server resources
Special Responsibilities:
  • Manage releases
  • Develop AF strategy, eliminate ACE equations, etc.
  • Roadmap to simplify customers environment, reduce number of process books, tag maintenance, etc.
  • Work with engineers, operations teams to generate additional value out of PI and related systems:
    • Advances Visualization
    • Predictive - Process & Data modeling
    • Prescriptive - In line analytics
