Job Description

    Required outbound logistic manager with experience in supply chain management and import documentation.Must have 10 experience in supply chain management.Job location Chennai.1) Ensure team for Customer production support by proactive communication and actions on upstream and downstream activities.2) Ensure process confirmation of production continuity coverage, gap analysis.3) Ensure driving for supplier schedule adherence, shortages, over shipments, release related issues by communicating with Supplier,4) Ensure compilation of imports /exception stock statement from suppliers and review for production continuity / supportability and escalate for any issues.5) Check supplier capacity time to time before any freshening, engineering change, production increase, ramp up, etc., and coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure suppliers are capacitised.6) Support in working out freight cost details for budgeting purpose and achieve year on year freight cost targets set by management7) Ensure monthly inventory reports are generated and road map / explanation updated for review with plant SCM manager8) Driving generation of freight efficiency ideas9) Driving on time delivery of containers / air freight for Imported parts [From Port till plant]10) Driving phase out and support in ensuring nil OBS.11) Daily status report review with CHA & ensuring all the shipments are covered and being tracked.12) Receipt of shipping & commercial documents for all the shipments and ensuring complete documents availability before vessel start13) Co-ordinate with CFS for speedy movement of container for sailing14) In Case of Re-Import Shipment, to Co-Ordinate with Taxation for exportdocuments.
