As a key addition to our leadership pipeline, this mid-level role isdesigned to evolve into a Chief People Officer position, with increasing responsibility for shaping people strategy and building a strong, values-driven culture.The People Officer will work closely with the CEO and departmental heads to implement structured onboarding, upskilling programs, leadership development initiatives, and performance management systems. While initially focused on training and performance, the role will gradually expand into conflict resolution, policy design, and long-term culture building.Key ResponsibilitiesTraining & Development:Design and roll out onboarding programs for new hires in collaboration with department leads. Build structured internal training plans focused on upskilling, cross-functional learning, and leadership development.Evaluate training outcomes and maintain a learning management system (LMS) to track progress.Performance ManagementManage and continuously improve the organizations existing performance appraisal system (frameworks created by the CEO). Monitor appraisal timelines, drive compliance, and ensure fair and objective reviews. Analyse performance data to offer strategic insights and guide improvement discussions with HODs.Culture & EngagementCollaborate with the CEO to design and execute staff engagement programs, recognition systems, and feedback loops. Facilitate coaching and training sessions for department heads on people management and feedback practices. Promote initiatives that foster inclusion, teamwork, and psychological safety in the workplace.Conflict Resolution (Phase 2 Responsibility)Spend time understanding team dynamics, staff behavior, and cultural sensitivities within the organization. Over time, contribute to the creation of internal conflict resolution policies in collaboration with the operations team.Support implementation and serve as a neutral resource for conflict mediation when required.Key QualificationsMinimum of 3 years experience in training & development, performance management, or people strategy. Strong understanding of learning management systems and performance tracking tools. Experience designing or managing structured training programs and appraisal cycles. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to influence and coach stakeholders at all levels.Preferred AttributesEmpathetic and observant, with strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence. Self-starter with a growth mindset and high accountability.Experience in healthcare or service-driven organizations (preferred but not mandatory).Strong ethical orientation and discretion in handling sensitive personnel matters.Future ScopeThis role is designed to grow into a Chief People Officer position, with increasing leadership over organizational development, HR strategy, policy creation, and conflict resolution.
