Performance Senior Principal EngineerJoin us as a Performance Senior Principle Engineer with our Performance Engineering team to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.What you ll achieveThe Performance Senior Principal Engineer works on unusually complex problems and provides solutions that are highly innovative, determines requirements and functional specifications for entire systems/projects while serving as a technology consultant and team leader and negotiates requirements with cross-functional teams.You will:
• Actively seek customer input and may take responsibility for customer situations
• Provide leadership in area of expertise: Contribute to the development of new techniques and plans within area of expertise - Actively participate in setting area objectives to meet plans - Influence others through their professional/technical expertise
• Create comprehensive performance test plans that include resource requirements, schedule assumptions, and scope based on inputs from Development, Marketing, and System Test Management. This may include coordinating performance test plans across multiple test organizations and facilities
• Anticipate technical and operational issues and develop preventative measures
• Adapt communication techniques for audiences: Present facts and information to negotiate mutually acceptable solutions - Delegate clearly and effectively

• 13 18 years of relevant experience with 3 5 years of development experience in Java/C++/Python
• Networking and Storage background including knowledge of TCP-IP, NAS (NFS & CIFS/SMB), SAN, and storage management concepts
• Hardware and software system performance experience with strong debugging skills
• Experience using SPEC SFS 2014 and VDBench (must have) with working knowledge of IOZone and FIO
• Strong knowledge of iSCSI, Ethernet, Infiniband, SAS, and NVMe technology
Desirable Requirements
• Experience configuring software and administering Linux and Windows Servers, experience w/VMWare ESXi
