Job Description

DSD Area:

  1. Taking charge from previous shift leader and obtaining shift target and follow up.
  2. Analyzing previous shift performance (Waste, BPT & SS) from the log book.
  3. Perceiving the current shift follow-up through the log book and communication mails.
  4. Allocation of work to Area Leaders based on the shift target in the SAM meeting.
  5. Monitoring the progress in respective jobs by the allocated manpower within the stipulated time.
  6. Facilitation of work by ensuring the availability of all PPEs (gloves, arm covers) etc.
  7. Ensuring adherence to standard work practices during plant rounds.(Compliance to SOP).
  8. To ensure D tex change is done in accordance with the process conditions as per plan.
  9. To confirm the FD chips properties, physical & chemical yarn properties.
  10. To communicate any break-down and issues to the maintenance team, electrical team, instrumentation team etc. through EAM, mail, phone call.
  11. Taking plant rounds and checking for abnormalities.
  12. To ensure proper recording of production data in OPM applications. (Barcode scanning, Oracle production & Oracle EAM)
  13. Maintaining 5s practices on the shop floor as per standard.
  14. Preparation of shift report and target for next shift at the shift end.
  15. Giving charge to next shift leader.
SSP Area:
  • Taking charge from previous shift leader and obtaining shift target.
  • Analyzing previous shift performance from the log book.
  • Perceiving the current shift follow-up through the log book, communication mail and plan.
  • Allocation of manpower to respective process based on the shift target.
  • Monitoring the progress in respective jobs by the allocated manpower within the stipulated time.
  • Ensuring adherence to standard work practices during plant rounds.(Compliance to SOP).
  • To communicate any break-down and issues to the maintenance team, electrical team, instrumentation team etc.
  • Taking plant rounds and checking for abnormalities.
  • Maintaining 5s practices on the shop floor.

Auxiliary Operations:
  • Taking charge from previous shift leader and analyzing previous shift performance from the log book.
  • Allocation of manpower based on the shift target.
  • Ensuring adherence to standard work practices by the operators.(Compliance to SOP).
  • Communication of observed abnormalities to the concerned persons.
  • Co-ordination with auxiliary team during pack change and D tex change as per schedule.
  • Maintaining the pack stock as per the production plan.
  • Approval of the spinneret inspected by the auxiliary team.
  • Maintaining 5s practices on the shop floor.
Packing:
  • Taking charge from previous shift leader and analyzing previous shift performance from the log book.
  • Allocation of manpower based on the shift target.
  • Ensuring adherence to standard work practices by the roll packer.(Compliance to SOP).
  • To ensure proper recording of production data in OPM applications. (Barcode scanning, Oracle production & Oracle EAM).
  • Ensuring proper movement of packed pallets in the storage area.
  • Communication of observed abnormalities to the concerned persons.
Safety:
  • Ensuring proper utilization of PPE by all employees in the shop floor.
  • Inspection of safety permits before allowing any maintenance or civil work to be carried out in the department.
  • Halting the work in case of any violation to safety practices and implementation of necessary corrective action after communication with process leader.
  • Ensuring immediate first aid to employees in case of accidents and circulation of First Information Report to plant head, safety head and department.
  • In case of emergencies, evacuation of all employees in the shop floor to the safe assembly point as per the standard safety procedure.
