Defines the technical specifications for equipment when consulting new projects and provides recommendations regarding future plastic parts. Identifies and updates all irregularities found in parts under development at suppliers. Anticipates, within the plants transversally, the transfer of production files with optimized process parameters for manufacturing. Proposes improvements for a product/process based on test results, whether performed externally or in-house, aiming to enhance quality, cost, time, and productivity. Oversees and manages the areas under his responsibility, always focusing on continuous improvement. Validates equipment and processes based on results: appearance, geometry, quality, paint adhesion, impact tests, etc. Approves the equipment available for part manufacturing: injection molding machines, machinery, materials, etc. Provides a critical opinion on suppliers proposals (technical solutions, deadlines) to ensure process compatibility with the materials used. Validates the compatibility of new materials in accordance with the applied process. Confirms the compliance of processes and materials used in research and development activities. Assists process designers in resolving technical feasibility issues according to the technical specifications. Applies, enforces, and monitors process recommendations. Aims to assess and mitigate planning risks (rheological analysis, planning review, etc.). Verifies and monitors the implementation of recommendations in the design of plastic parts processes. Builds, shares, and maintains an up-to-date database of all forecasts and modifications related to plastic parts. Organizes recurring meetings with all departments impacted by the process. Establishes and validates new standards and procedures together with the Local Technical Leader. Organizes and conducts studies to gain a better understanding of the process, aiming to build solid experience and react quickly to emerging issues. Based on experience and knowledge from other engineering leads, workshop correspondents in equipment maintenance, and the process engineering leader, must be capable of analyzing parts and equipment behavior to contribute to potential process improvements. Develops action plans to enhance process robustness. May be involved in equipment design topics for mass production and parts (raw material changes, manufacturing issues, etc.). Ensures the correct application of forecasts within the plastic parts design process. Defines action plans to resolve issues in collaboration with PFI/PFE leaders and/or designers.
