Job DescriptionJob Overview

      The Senior BI Analyst will bring his/her expertise in reporting & analytics to further build up technical capabilities within BI team, create actionable dashboards as well as act as project manager when prioritizing requests from other departments. Important role is the one of leveraging data potentials across Operations, Buying, Merchandising and Marketing, by initiating company-wide and skills specific hands-on training on intermediate/advanced BI topics.
In your role you will produce valuable business insights and be integral to enabling the BI team to discover inefficiencies in the way data is being used across multiple functions.Responsibilities
  • Supervise the process of drafting daily reports and dashboards according to BI team guidelines, and proactively identify and manage opportunities for optimizing our processes.
  • Participate in requirements gathering sessions with the business and other BI Analysts to understand business analysis requirements
  • Prioritize workflow among several requests coming from other departments and execute according to BI Head guidelines
  • Organize trainings in cooperation with other departments heads and HR team, with the goal to make end users more independent while consuming BI-related tools and reports
  • Discover potential inefficiencies in the way data is being used across multiple functions.
  • Steering the process of data gathering and data sources updates across multiple functions for subsequent use in BI data-warehouse
  • Maintain the pre-requisites for a reliable and regular update of business intelligence data sources for Operations departments, Marketing teams and Sales figures
  • Comment on recent trends for Operations-wide and Marketing-wide KPIs
  • Proactively develop capabilities for business planning, reports to external party and investors
  • Review and analyze e-commerce competitive landscape.
  • Act as a partner to the business and perform robust data analysis for ad-hoc projects, as and when the business requires
  • Conduct QA on reports and dashboards prepared by other teams and peers.
  • Actively participate in regular training sessions or independent research to enhance your own and the team e-commerce analytical capabilities

  • The Business Intelligence Developer will be evaluated on a monthly basis against a comprehensive set of company-wide performance criteria.
  • Speed and quality of execution as well as ability to grasp new concepts are highly regarded.
  • Feedback is provided regularly through a robust performance management process.
  • Effective time management from punctual attendance through to prioritization of daily reporting tasks
  • Relevant data sources are kept updated on a regular basis
  • Number and frequency of important points raised on KPIs recent trends
  • Capacity to relate performance at KPIs-level to potential impact on clients business
  • Number of new KPIs and concepts learnt from areas other than the main focus ones
  • Time spent in working together with team peers to acquire the techniques for other reporting areas.
  • Learning process percentage of completion for drafting report to external parties and investors
  • Numbers of insights generated from regular competitors analysis.

Educated to degree level (ideally in Engineering, Computer Sciences, Business or Marketing) with proven outstanding academic career and minimum GPA 3.5 out of 4.0 (or equivalent)Fluency in English is essentialExcellent written, communication and organizational skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office suite (especially MS Excel 2010) is a mustKnowledge of Statistical analysis tools like SAS and SPSS is highly appreciatedAdvanced user of Excel Power Pivot with particular reference on Tabular ModelsIntermediate user of Google Analytics and Excel VBAIntermediate user of MS SQL Server 2012/2014, SQL queries in DAX/MDX and SSAS optimizationPrevious experience in e-commerce company can be considered a plusUnderstanding of Digital Marketing KPIs and channels is considered an advantage
