Visit us - www.hitachienergy.com About the business: The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2300 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest Operations hub. The India Operations Centre team at Chennai, Bangalore and Gurugram supports Hitachi Energys units in more than 40. countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Hitachi Energy To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries. Your responsibilities: Project execution You will be a part of the AIS, P&IC Engineering team. You will be supporting the project engineers / Project Lead engineers to develop project specific engineering documents and drawings for submission to customer and the documents required for manufacturing of Air Insulated Switchgears (AIS), Power Quality & Industry components of transmission and sub-transmission systems. You will be an individual contributor who would deliver the tasks as per the given inputs and when required need to work in coordination with other colleagues and should exhibit good collaborative skills to complete the task. You may also interact with other departments like primary engineering, order management, power system study team, Steel structure engineering, Project Management and Production units. Activities Involve: 1. Should be able understand the mechanical engineering drawings and the relevant drawings standards to perform independently on the CAD files using CREO and AUTOCAD. 2. Knowledge in Castings, Machining, Sheet metal and Structural Engineering to perform mechanical CAD models. 3. Should have basic knowledge in project life cycle management tools, design tools and design libraries. 4. Should be able co-ordinate with the cross functional teams, Local Product group teams for the inputs requirement, query clarifications and should be meet the project requirements on time. 5. Should adhere to industrial quality standards and functions followed in the engineering team for the quality deliverables. 6. Knowledge in basic of electrical engineering and relevant standards will be an added advantage. 7. Willing to work in shifts for US time zones and should have good communication skills to influence internally and externally. 8. Documentation Directly responsible for maintaining and updating the documentation for respective projects as per quality process. Your background: Years of experience: 4 6 years with Bachelors /Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Hands of experience in tools like CREO, AutoCAD or similar tools in 2D/3D drawings. Experience with United States/North American design standards / IEEE is a positive factor Expect Excellent Communication and interpersonal skill,
