    Principal Product Manager - TechnicalPosting Location : Location US-RemotePosting date 1 day ago(1/21/2022 6:23 AM)Job ID 91730 Workday ID R-hidden_mobile About the job The Red Hat Developer Business team is looking for an experienced Principal Product Manager to join us. In this role, you will be focused on a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering, sharing developer experience across Kubernetes-based application cloud platforms and generating a free-to-fee model of product-led growth. You will define and nurture how developers interact and grow with Red Hat s trials and offerings. This will initially focus on the Developer Sandbox for Red Hat OpenShift to promote adoption and growth. Later, you will define managed offerings to enable developer and team growth with available offerings. As a Principal Product Manager, you will be a part of a team guiding the future of cloud-native and cloud-first development. Most teams operate in eastern North America (NA) or western European time zones. Working remotely or in a Red Hat office is a possibility in any state where Red Hat is registered to do business. What you will do
    • Be the owner of the Developer Sandbox and free-to-fee initiatives, promoting product adoption and growth
    • Work with internal stakeholders to define and guide an interactive set of nurture campaigns
    • Meet with customers, partners, and analysts to gather inputs on the jobs on which the development teams are focused, as well as where they re finding success and where they re struggling
    • Align customer data with product telemetry to lead a vision for the developer experience
    • Track and report on the progress of work from a product delivery and market impact perspective; feeding the data back into plans and micro-adjustments
    • Engage with marketing teams across the company and at partners to provide a clear and concise reasoning for the solutions and enhancements that we release
    What you will bring
    • Highly experienced with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) or enterprise software, preferably as a product manager
    • Good grasp of how cloud-first developers work, including what is important to them and which tools and environments they prefer
    • Experience with product-led organic growth, driven by experimentation
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; language skills in English
    • Understanding the abilities of current software development tools https://developers.redhat.com/topics/developer-tools and ability to quickly learn new ones, including IDEs, developer-focused CLIs, Git, build systems, continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) systems, containers, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, Tekton, Istio, Knative, and serverless and Function-as-a-Service (FaaS) technologies
    The following are considered a plus:
    • Experience with open source projects, processes, and business models
    • Well-versed in application developer platforms like Heroku, DigitalOcean, Google Cloud (Cloud Run, App Engine, etc.), Amazon Web Services (AWS), including Fargate, App Runner, etc., Microsoft Azure, etc.
    • Deep knowledge of engineering team processes focused on agile ot scrum methodologies, tools, and challenges
    • Ability to make (and defend) hard trade-offs between time-to-market, community engagement, and product features
    • Aversion to creating shelfware and an understanding that free usage of an offering is more valuable in the long run
    • Experience persuading others without having direct authority over them
    • Willingness to travel (should not exceed an average of 25%), following Red Hat s COVID-19 guidelines
