Job Description

  • Create complex data processing pipelines as part of a dynamic and fast-paced team
  • Work on Hadoop platform with Amazon EMR, data ingestions, and full-stack development
  • Create high-quality software through test driven development and peer reviews
  • Contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery practices
  • Work closely with product management and other stakeholders in an agile environment
  • Leverage the latest technologies to solve complex problems facing the health care industry
  • Provide technical leadership to a team and/or organization, ensuring that all delivered solutions and architecture adhere to industry best-practices for scalability, maintainability, usability, availability, extensibility, security, and portability
  • Design and develop software applications and application components in an agile environment
  • Integrate and implement custom created applications with commercial and open source software
  • Create high-quality software by conducting peer design/code reviews and developing automated test cases
  • Work with geographically distributed teams, with ample opportunity to learn from and mentor teammates in a fast-paced environment
  • Play a key role in the future of software products by working closely with product management and other stakeholders to aid solution development
  • Leverage the latest technologies to solve complex problems facing the health care industry
  • Build and implement performant and scalable solutions by applying development best practice
  • Ensure high quality solutions by implementing unit tests, driving continuous integration/validation, and supporting the creation and design of performance, load, and user acceptance tests
  • Build methods and tools to automate development activities
Must Haves:
  • Education: Bachelors Degree in technical field OR equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of relevant professional work experience
  • 6+ years of experience coding with one or more JVM-based language (e.g. Java, Scala)
  • 6+ years of application development experience in an agile environment using enterprise database environments (e.g. mysql, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
  • Experience developing software in a commercial software product development environment
  • Knowledge of multiple languages, alternative frameworks, and ability to learn new technologies as the need arises
  • Experience leading large product integrations and performance enhancements
  • Experience developing scalable and performant applications
  • Experience with enterprise technologies and principles, such as SOA, REST, and enterprise messaging
  • Software design experience using object-oriented patterns, SOLID, and similar development principles
  • Demonstrated flexibility working across multiple software-related disciplines
  • Familiarity with front-end development approaches and architectures
Even Better:
  • Hands-on experience developing web applications using HTML/CSS/JavaScript
  • Experience leading teams to deliver high-quality software products
  • Experience in the healthcare domain
  • Experience analyzing large volumes of data, enterprise data analytics, SSAS, dimensional modeling, etc
  • Experience with enterprise application integration with mobile platforms
  • Experience migrating enterprise web applications to cloud-hosted architectures
  • Experience with System Integrations involving standards like HL7, EDI, SAP IDOC, XML, etc.
