We are building a highly personalized and intuitive online teaching and learning platform, with sensibly integrated gaming and social elements, so that the education process is more engaging and effective. We have an intense, informal, and open work culture - a close knit team that values each others strengths and contributions.We are seeking our Product Manager, the person who will drive and execute our product roadmap. This position reports directly to the CEO.Requirements 4 - 8 years of experience in Product Management, particularly software applications or services. Experience producing web or mobile applications for the consumer market is prefered.Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and leadership skills. A demonstrated history of building and managing solid teams and executing flagship projects is mandatory.Strong sense of Software User Experience, Usability and Product Design. An inbuilt antenna for knowing what users would want, before users know they want it!Ability to balance and align his/ her empathy for solving users problems with what makes business sense. Cares for detail and quality, while never taking eyes off the big picture.Open minded, flexible, having the ability to handle uncertainty and take informed decisions quickly. Someone who has an understanding and appreciation for the excitement, challenges, driving factors and culture at a startup.Interest in, and preferably a passion for Education, Teaching, Training and Pedagogy.Creative, proactive, and committed, with a keen interest to learn new things. Keeps tabs on the latest trends, technologies, features, and apps.Excellent problem solving, logical and analytical thinking abilities. High standards for technical and professional competency, coupled with a solid sense of ethics and integrity.An exceptionally strong academic background, such as a Bachelors or a Masters degree from a top -notch school. A Masters degree in Engineering, Business, Usability or a similar field is even better. A passion for applying research from areas such as Education, Cognitive Psychology, Data Mining or Statistics is ideal.ResponsibilitiesActively observe and engage with users to elicit key activities, needs and problem statements, and turn them into requirements, feature specs, and UI wireframes.Analyze the Project Requirements, and bridge across the Technology and Sales/ Marketing teams to set Product -Market -Fit.Execute the Product Specs and drive implementation under tight schedules by tracking project priorities, timelines, and deliverables. Be super -responsive and coordinate the execution from end to end: right from Requirements Gathering to Debug Builds to Quality Assurance to split/ alpha/ beta testing to how -to videos to User Adoption Feedback.Effectively wear both the Inward facing hat and the Outward facing hat: Interact with and earn the respect, cooperation and trust of diverse groups of people such as technologists, marketing and sales specialists within the company, as well as clients and customers who may include Trainers, Teachers, Parents, Students, Content Developers, Corporates, and Educationists.Grow the Product Team by recruiting and managing people responsible for User Studies, Product design, Pedagogy/ Instruction Design, and Quality Assurance.Monitor market players and perform competition analysis on an ongoing basis.Help co -create the processes and work culture around you.Constantly track new products and trends, especially those that have the potential for a large impact.
