Job Description

Location: ChennaiBusiness Area: COO & FunctionsArea of Expertise: OperationsContract: PermanentJob Title: Project managerLocation: ChennaiThis role will be responsible for the Planning, Executing, and Closing Projects defining the project, project planning, cost tracking, stakeholder management, UAT support and BAU handover. Following are the additional responsibilities

  • End-to-End Project management/delivery.
  • To develop and maintain a project plan, which outlines a projects tasks, milestone dates, status and allocation of resources to the project.
  • Support / manage the design and development of technology and process solutions to meet the agreed business requirements including management information requirements and mitigation of risks (via appropriate controls / reconciliations) within the technology / process solutions
  • Create and work in an agile environment.
  • Stakeholder Management and Leadership skills
  • Must be able to work with global (UK, India and US) and multi-disciplinary (3rd party, contractors and Barclays) delivery teams.
What will you be doing The role holder will possess the following:Responsible for the successful delivery of projects to plan, budget and agreed quality and governance standards. The role typically requires managing three plus complex projects simultaneously
  • Manages project teams engaged throughout the full delivery lifecycle. Delivery of projects supporting the business strategy from business case through to initiation, requirement analysis, design, build, testing, implementation and closure.
  • Manages the project end to end including the IT elements of delivery (where applicable)
  • Contribute ideas and suggestions for process improvements within the project and across the group.
  • Ability to work in global environment with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Delivers strategies for Colleague Process automation, improvement and opportunities for consolidation
  • Displays ability to reach decisions under conditions of uncertainty or high risk
Candidate Profile
  • Excellent written and verbal English language skill
  • Proficient in Process mapping tools, Robotics/Workflow/Machine Learning automation technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology, business domains and processes
  • Proven ability to multi-task, be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high pressured environment with changing priorities
  • Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours
  • Good team player and self-motivated
  • Adaptable and bale to pick up new techniques
  • High attention to detail and quality of work
  • Able to create clear technical specifications from business requirements
