QSE Lead Engineer IN, Chennai | Professional | Full-Time | ID: 13809Global QSE - QSE Global Development & Excellence - Six Sigma & CIDescribe the Department Global QSE directs the global approach to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment in Vestas throughout the value chain. The function supports both very strategic & operational QSE tasks, leads towards achieving the QSE goals and targets, as well as directs the Global Management System and its certification against ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. GDE- Global Development & Excellence is a global function under Global QSE with focus on growing Management systems, Advanced Quality, Six sigma & Continuous Improvement, Digital technology & tool and centralized operations. People are in India & direct global activities collaborating with the regional QSE and all other cross functions across globe. This position is for Six Sigma & Continuous improvement at Chennai office. We are looking for Guide HSE Professional - Who will work across entire value chain, to support & promote continuous improvement projects in HSE.Responsibilities Continuous Improvement -Collects data, analyses and infer insights from HSE KPI & PI performance, risk assessment, audits etc. and Identifies improvement opportunities Support HSE improvement project deployment (Incident reduction, Fatality reduction, HSE behavioral program, safety campaign etc.) Accountable for assigned HSE deliverables, Improvement activities, effectiveness and maturity Work closely with HSE experts and project stakeholders to close the activity/task/assignment on time with minimal error Identify potential HSE problems and non-compliance issues and support in scoping, creating baseline for improvement projects Supports implementation of HSE goals, incident investigations and root cause analysis. Works directly with stake holder and line organization to improve efficiency Collaborates with stake holder and team member to raise awareness and gain commitment for HSE initiatives and performance. Assist with developing and presenting safety training Assisting with implementation and administration of safety improvement programs to maintain complianceQualifications Bachelors degree in Chemical (Preferred) / Mechanical / Electrical/ Composites with 10-14 Years experience in HSE area Certification/education in Health, Safety & Environment Tools Knowledge of HSE IT systems and tools (Taproot, Incident Management tools etc) will be added advantage Six sigma green belt certification will be an added advantageCompetencies Great ability to conduct statistical analyses, primarily utilizing Excel or Minitab Great ability to conduct investigations and utilize judgment to determine root causes of accidents and identify safety and health hazards Solid Knowledge and Working experience in coordinating injury reduction, HSE risk assessment and mitigation Attention to details, ability to go deep & be pragmatic to coordinate the projects team Excellent in Problem solving and investigative skills Professional coordination, Conflict Management and communication skills Ability to handle multi-cultural Stakeholders with Customer-focus, proactive and result-oriented Excellent interpersonal - to effectively develop professional relationships with team members and gain support for the environmental health and safety program Analysis: Able to gather relevant data using appropriate methodologies and provide meaningful insightsWhat We Offer We offer you the opportunity to make a difference and to work in a multicultural and international company, where you have the possibility to improve your skills and develop professionally.Additional Information Your primary workplace will be Vestas India, Chennai Please note: We do amend or withdraw our jobs and reserve the right to do so at any time, including prior to the advertised closing date.
