Job Description

Supporting and coordinating R2R Accounting processes in dedicated countries/region/process. Analyses and drives improvement initiatives and process harmonization in Revenue and General Accounting focusing on Balance Sheet and P&L. Verifies quality and consistency in methodology and accounting principles applied in own responsibility area. Cooperates actively with colleagues and internal/external customers, stakeholders and BPO.Proactively performing preventive quality and accounting controls and ensuring corrective actions when errors occur.Additionally, responsible for supporting financial and external accounting in the defined responsibility area. ScopeIndividual Contributor - Participates as individual contributor to team, usually in a support role or mid-level professional. Analysis and problem solving tasks. Decision making usual in own work.ImpactAccountable for quality and accuracy of own output and responsibility.Job Responsibilities & Competencies1. Providing Accounting services:

• Follows Nokia Global CFO reporting guidelines and uses appropriate systems to meet financial reporting requirements.
• Complies with Nokia Global CFO accounting principles, procedures (including SOX and Internal Controls) and IFRS/local GAAP accounting principles for the defined responsibility area.

2. Providing Accounting Expert support

• Provides accurate and timely accounting support (IFRS/local GAAP accounting principles and, in some cases, in fiscal matters)
• Ensures that the right process exists in own responsibility area and that process is compliant with Nokia global policies and processes.
• Ensures availability of processes knowledge and technical/accounting competence and be Accounting expert in own responsibility area
• Provides support for statutory accounting external reporting and related audit and governance: execution, control and results,
• Provides support and coordination of global process implementation and tool deployments in own responsibility area.
• Supports for accurate and timely Nokia group reporting.
• Supports, cooperates and contributes to the Internal and External audit process and coordinate open audit action completion for own responsibility area.

3. Troubleshooting problems

• Supports coordinating resolution, coaching users in correcting reported problems and creating issue prevention accounting methods and tools
• Collects process requirements and issues that cannot be solved locally and escalates/inform them to Development Sub-Process owners

4. Ensuring quality

• Delivers/organize concept/process specific training upon need and responsibility area
• Coordinates and runs System tests upon need
• Verifies quality and consistency in methodology and accounting principles applied in own responsibility area, reporting / escalating to pertinent leaders when issues arise.
• Responsible for the implementation and execution of the Accounting process (accounting closing, BS validation, reconciliation)
• Supports preparation of user guides and training material for own responsibility area as per RACI
• Responsible for identifying and escalating process/systems/accounting issues that cannot be resolved locally
• Supports and drives data clean-up activities in own responsibility area (Balance sheet analysis and action planning)
• Contributes to continuous learning initiatives by own exemplary behaviour
• Support Management reporting
• Lead&support projects
• Supports & ensures smooth info sharing between Development & Service Excellence teams

Annex:

• Maintain partnership with FAMs and Region CFOs
• Act as SPOC for all customers in CFO
• Perform Balance Sheet reconciliation
• Report BS deviation to Region CFO and FAMs and drive mitigation and closure
• Monitor accrual, recurring and MJE booking and closing
• Complete Revenue Accounting runs
• Supports SOX and internal control related activities
• Act as R2R Accounting Process SME
• Control and monitor process compliance
• Participate in CFO projects and represent CFO s view in all end-to-end project
• Validate process descriptions

5. Maximizing cooperation

• Cooperates actively with colleagues and internal/external customers to establish and maintain a good network/partnership and to ensure a smooth, optimal and timely solution for the issues.
• Manages BPO for own responsibility area

Qualifications

• Appropriate education in Accounting or Finance
• 4-6 years of relevant work experience in financial accounting
• Experience with SAP and MS Office applications
• Strong interpersonal and communication skill
• Fluency in English both written and oral
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to build a trusted relationship with internal stakeholders
• Team work spirit with a can-do attitude
• Ability to work under pressure and flexibility
• Good coordination skills within team and across teams
