Roles and responsibilities PROFILE OVERVIEW: We are looking for an experienced and result-driven professional to join our marketing team! As a Senior Brand Manager/Category Manager at our company, you will be responsible for Conceptualizing, Planning, Implementing and Managing the entire life cycle of the products in our companys portfolio for the brands designated to you. The role will play a crucial role in fueling the product pipeline for the companys portfolio of brands and thereby achieving our business goals and objectives. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (I) BUSINESS PLANNING 1. Annual Business Plan: Develop annual business plans and own it including budgeting for the brand/brands and monitoring the expenditures. The role would be responsible for the P&L for the allocated brand/brands 2. Category Business Planning: Analyze macro environment trends, consumer behaviors, internal business imperatives, industry scenario to conceptualize region wise volume projections 3. Portfolio Planning: Analyze industry trends, market competitiveness of products and SKUs, consumer requirements etc. to identify gaps in the current brand portfolio 4. New Product/Product Extension Planning, Development and Launch: Gather inputs from consumer insights, coordinate for Consumer Preference Testing & initiate new product launch 5. Demand Planning: Provide inputs (with respect to art work, packaging, manufacturing readiness, WSP and market connectivity) to management for better planning (II) BRAND PLANNING 6. Brand Planning: Analyze market research data for growth prospects, change in brand positioning, brand health 7. Brand Communication, Development and Execution: Drive the creative & Media Team and take responsibility for developing and implementing all marketing plans 8. Consumer Promotion (Domestic Market): Conceptualize consumer promotion schemes and co-execute with agencies 9. Planning with Internal Teams: Analyze and provide consumer, category and brand information to support channel marketing and sales initiatives 10. Brand Plan Review: Evaluate the effectiveness of brand communication, trade and consumer promotions and overall brand health 11. Partnerships and Alliances: Identify, initiate and leverage possible partnerships and alliances to build awareness of the company brand drive incremental sales through alternative channels 12. Media Activation: Plan and prepare the brief for event activation, and plan execution with agencies 13. Product/Marketing Planning: Execute specific marketing plans in collaboration with a variety of functional areas such as PR, Packaging, Design, Creative, R&D , Supply Chain, Finance and Factory Operations (III) CONSUMER/CATEGORY INSIGHTS 14. Voice of Consumer: Be the visible voice and advocate for the end user within the organization 15. Market Research Conceptualization and Execution: Participate in field work related to market research to obtain first hand consumer insights that will improve product development and new product introductions and guide the design effort, ensuring leading-edge, consumer-driven products and designs that meet manufacturing and cost goals 16. Market Research Findings Implementation: Participate in identification of key trends from the market research report and usage of key trends for building brand initiatives 17. Consumer Complaint Redressal: interact with customers to identify the root cause of market complaints, and coordinate with various functions to address consumer complaintsRequired Candidate profilePost-graduate in Business Management from a Premier B-School (with specialization in Marketing/related field, if applicable) 6 to 8 years relevant experience in FMCG Marketing/Brand roles Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on companys success Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Team player with good time-management skills Great interpersonal and communication skills ,
