Job Description

    Job Description1.Grade optimization for automotive components for cost and weight reduction.2.Improve the prediction accuracy of finite element analysis.3.Make available the advanced material data to the vehicle designers.4.Participate in Early Vendor Involvement activities with major automotive customers.5.Carry out FE simulation for stamping of automotive components using software like ABAQUS, Pamstamp, Ls Dyna for feasibility checks.6.Carry out research in the area of Sheet Metal Forming to develop and implement advanced computationaland experimental tools for solving metal forming related problems and improving the prediction accuracies.7.Advanced experimental characterisation of steel sheets such as High Strain Rate Test, Forming Limit Diagram,Dent tests,etc.Design newer experimental techniques for better characterisation of steel sheets.8.Carry out FEA such as Modal and Stiffness analysis, CAD modelling and provide feedback to vehicle. designers.SkillsDesirable:Knowledge of FE analyses such as Modal, Stiffness and Durability will be an added advantage.Experience in automotive research and development team will be preferred.Other details2-5 years with Masters/PhD degree in any specialisation with background in one or more areas from FEM, Metal Forming, Plasticity, Applied Mechanics and CAD,
