Job Description

    Role Summary:As a Sales Engineer, youll own the full sales cycle for our sample preparation and furnace product lines within an assigned territory combining technical consultation with commercial closing. Youll work directly with lab managers, QC heads, R&D teams and procurement decision-makers to understand their application needs and recommend the right equipment, while building and managing channel partners in your region.Key Responsibilities:
    • Identify, develop and close new business opportunities across our key segments Cement, Minerals, Steel, Pharma & Life Science, Universities, CSIR Labs, IITs and other research institutions.
    • Understand each customers technical and application requirements and recommend the appropriate equipment from our sample prep and furnace ranges.
    • Prepare technical-commercial proposals, quotations and tender/EMD responses, and negotiate to closure.
    • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations and customer site visits.
    • Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and pipeline goals.
    • Build, manage and grow distributor, channel-partner and OEM relationships in the territory.
    • Maintain accurate lead, opportunity and activity records in the company CRM.
    • Manage inbound enquiries (including online marketplace and web leads) and convert them into orders.
    • Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions and industry events.
    • Coordinate with internal application and engineering teams on custom and made-to-order solutions.
    • Track market trends, competitor activity and pricing, and feed insights back to the team.
    • Support smooth order handover, installation coordination and post-sales customer satisfaction.
    Required Qualifications & Skills:
    • Tech in Engineering (Mechanical, Metallurgical, Chemical, Instrumentation or related). Engineering graduates preferred.
    • Minimum 2 to 5 years sales experience selling laboratory instruments, scientific/analytical instruments or laboratory furnaces or selling equipment and instruments to the pharmaceutical industry or to our customer segments: Cement, Minerals, Steel, Pharma & Life Science, Universities, CSIR Labs, IITs, etc.
    • Solid technical comprehension of laboratory and/or industrial equipment.
    • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
    • Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned territory.
    • Comfortable using CRM software and MS Office.
    • Self-driven, target-oriented and able to work independently.
    • Fluency in English; [Hindi / regional language] preferred.
    • Valid driving licence
