Job Description

    Senior Consultant - SAP Basis Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Basis Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting our SAP environment, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability. This role requires deep technical expertise in SAP Basis, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor consultants.Key Responsibilities:
    • Mentor the SAP Basis team to ensure effective support and maintenance of the SAP environment.
    • Oversee the installation, configuration, and upgrading of SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, CRM, etc.).
    • Manage SAP system landscape design, including system refreshes, copies, and upgrades.
    • Ensure system performance optimization, tuning, and troubleshooting of SAP applications.
    • Implement and maintain SAP security policies, roles, and authorizations.
    • Coordinate with functional and technical teams to support business processes and project initiatives.
    • Monitor and manage SAP backups, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
    • Develop and implement procedures for system monitoring, performance tuning, backup, and recovery.
    • Provide technical guidance and support for complex SAP issues and escalations.
    • Conduct regular system health checks and audits to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
    • Plan and execute SAP migrations, upgrades, and patching activities.
    • Mentor and train junior consultants, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
    • Ability to work according to the Nigeria time zone (12 PM to 9 PM).
    • Willingness to travel to Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt, and South Africa as per business requirements.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • 10 to 15 years of experience in SAP Basis administration.
    • Strong experience with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW, CRM, PI/PO, and other SAP products.
    • Proven experience in managing SAP installations, upgrades, and migrations.
    • In-depth knowledge of SAP system architecture, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
    • Experience with SAP HANA database administration and optimization.
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and SAP cloud solutions.
    • Excellent understanding of SAP security and authorization concepts.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • SAP Basis certification(s) is a plus.
    • Prior experience with reputed consulting companies.
    • Based in Chennai or willing to relocate to Chennai.
    • Willing to work in a hybrid work model.
    Preferred Skills:
    • Experience with SAP Solution Manager for system monitoring and management.
    • Knowledge of operating systems (Unix/Linux/Windows) and database management systems (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
    • Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.
    • Experience with SAP Fiori and SAP UI5.
