It will additionally support our ongoing reporting and monitoring of Conduct.Further this solution directly helps to ensure and support our Senior Managers to evidence their oversight of conduct outcomes under the Banking Reform Act Individual Accountability regime. The Bank has an obligation to provide the appropriate tools to support our Senior Managers execute their responsibilities and this is a critical tool for that purpose. Additionally, the tool will be able to help the Bank measure the effectiveness of the BRA-IA regime.We are seeking a highly motivated scrum master skilled in team building and guidance who will work directly with multiple software teams to help them become high-performing and consistently deliver upon their sprint commitments through coaching, mentoring and addressing team member impacts to deliveryRESPONSIBILITIES:Driving innovation by engaging right set of toolsAbility to drive PoC for quick requirement elicitationStrong leadership and written and verbal communication skillsRun daily, weekly and monthly agile rituals efficiently and strictlyTracks work progress to identify blockages and developer divergence from allocated tasksImplements structure changes and strategy that are generated by agile retrospectivesBlocks stories that do not contain the right level of detail from entering the Dev StructureBlocks changes to work once in development without following the proper re-evaluation processRemoves blockers with extreme prejudice when raised by development teamResponsible for product planning including personas, minimal viable and minimal marketable product, product visioning and release roadmapsManage and create Jira portfolio, Dashboards with forward looking release plan and managementKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Technical Skills (Experience desired):Expertise in database technologies including big data (Hadoop, Teradata)Expertise in BI tools Microstrategy and TableauStrong data and business analysis skillsPrior experience in Financial institutions preferably in compliance tech spaceConduct and culture risk domain experienceTrade and comms. SurveillanceCurrent certification as a scrum master (CSM or PSM I) preferred. If presently uncertified, the candidate must sit for the CSM or PSM 1 exam and receive a passing exam score within 6 months of being hired.An understanding of the scrum framework (roles, artifacts and rituals), specifically an understanding of the scrum master role and underlying values of scrum and agile principles is required for this position.Experience working directly with development teams under the scrum framework preferred with at least a full year of experience within the role of scrum master.Direct experience facilitating team level meetings.Ability to understand and mentor product owners in the understanding and improvement of their role as needed and assist with story gathering workshops and guidance if requested.Broad understanding of product planning concepts including personas, minimal viable and minimal marketable product, product visioning and release roadmapsExperience managing scrum artifacts (burn-down charts, product backlogs, user stories in JIRA)Experience with planning poker or relative sizing estimation techniques.Experience facilitating retrospective meetings geared towards skills improvementSoft Skills:Highly organized and a self-starting individualAbility to perform as a mentor/guide/coach to multiple scrum teams.Ability to accept and resolve team indicated impediments to delivery and work within the organization to remove these impediments efficiently.Ability to work directly with unit management to participate in strategic development and growth plans for teams and organization in terms of scrum acceptance and maturity as well as opportunities for team growth.Ability to coach team members to better understand the scrum framework and underlying concepts of agility.Ability to coach teams toward self-management and self-organization.Ability to guide teams towards continual improvement through routine team inspection during retrospectives.Ability to assess development opportunities for team members for the purpose of performance planning goals.Possess a high degree of adaptability within a work environment and the ability to coach others directly and effectively.Ability to recognize organizational barriers and work with executive management to address them or transform them into opportunities.Additional Skills Desired:The following traits would be a plus:Any additional scrum or agile certifications (CSPO, CSP, PSM I, PMI-ACP)Strong Technical background on mircoservices and UX/UI.Experience:A Bachelor s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)CSM,PSM, CSP and other Agile certifications10+ years of software engineering experience4+ years of strong experience in Scrum Master of Agile Project Manager Role.5+ years experience working in Agile Development Environments.Experience in Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD)Experience in agile methodologies and test driven development.Experience in software development using open source technologies.Experience in automated software testing.Change Knowledge:Experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologiesGood track record of communicating effectively with both business and IT staff at all levels.Experience in promoting DevOps culture among developers and testers.Good presentation skills.Non-technical Skills:Proven ability to work within a team environment.Highly effective verbal and written English communication skills.Ability to make good / sound decisions and use independent judgement.Strong reasoning, analytical and inter-personal skills.Excellent attention to detail and time management.Apply now to join the Bank for those with big career ambitions.To view information on our benefits including our flexible working please visit our career pages .
