SDET EngineerTrimble Cloud PlatformChennai, Tamil Nadu, IndiaTrimble is recruiting for a Senior Quality Engineer to fill an opportunity in Chennai, India.Trimble is building its next-generation cloud platform based on open source technologies that will be used by the different divisions within Trimble to host high volume services and applications. We are currently looking for exceptional Software Engineers at various levels for this exciting Trimble Telematics Platform as a Service team at various levels. The position is based out of Chennai, India.The Lead Software Test Engineer will lead the white box testing framework and automation of Trimbles Cloud Platform testing. Measures of Success:Lead the white box testing framework/test automation tool selection process and develop automated test suitesReview requirements, specifications, user documentation, help files, and other project documentation to assure the quality of the products and tests to be developedWork with the Development team to capture and reuse automated test suites and with the Release Engineering team to build and deploy the automation build on QA or release or production serversTrace the test results on the regularly-scheduled test updates and results back to specific quality risks promptlyEnsure proper version control and configuration management of all test objects developed and test environments usedProvide the project test status, estimates, and metrics derived from testingTechnical Knowledge of Automation tools and framework with the ability to achieve targetsSkills & Experience Required:Should have at least 8+ years of experience in white box testing with 2+ years of experience leading testing effortShould have a good understanding of the role of automated testing and hands-on in any BDD frameworks - cucumber, spec Flow and etc.within the software development lifecycleExperience in RestAssured automation framework Hands-on experience in programming. Java expertise is required and good knowledge of Perl or C#, or VB.Net is desirable.Experience with automating API/services testing and hands-on in any BDD frameworks - cucumber, specFlow and etc.Hands-on experience in AWS or other cloud environmentsHands-on experience with Structured Query Language(SQL) with Oracle and MySQL databaseGood knowledge of basic Linux commands and scriptingGood to have hands-on experience in any of the automation testing tools.Other RequirementsStrong analytical skills.Good Communication skillsTrimble is transforming the way the world works by delivering products and services that connect the physical and digital worlds.
