Senior Principal Software EngineerDell s IEO (Infrastructure Engineering & Operations) organization provides a set of shared services for engineering labs and engineering teams across all divisions of ISG, supporting product development. The Platform Infrastructure & Orchestration Engineering team within IEO has team members based around the globe and is responsible for delivering infrastructure and platform services as well as automation for multiple cloud platforms across engineering labs. Our goal is to provide enterprise-level services to all ISG Engineering users/consumers as well as many lab managers and application owners in the DevOps ecosystem.Join us as a Senior Principal Software Engineer on our Software Engineering team in India to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.What you ll achieve As a Senior Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software basis the customer s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions. You will: Analyze and clarify requirements and contribute to implementation plans to deliver quality features for a container services ecosystem based on VMware Tanzu Kubernetes PlatformParticipate in defining the product roadmaps, identifying priorities of features to be developedDesign and deployment of solutions that will be developed according to specific requirements and roadmapsContribute to development activities by implementing new features, enhancements, and fixing defectsContribute to the development of workflows and automation that support customer consumption of servicesParticipate in cross-geo communications between team membersContribute into documentation for the team and share the knowledge with peersTake the first step towards your dream career Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here s what we are looking for with this role: Essential RequirementsExperience with deploying and supporting VMware Tanzu Kubernetes platforms, vRealize Automation distributed infrastructure for an enterprise, VMWare vCenter/vSphere 6.x & 7, production/Highly Available environments: SRM, DRS, Multi-Site GSLB, with monitoring and optimizing performance of virtualized environments and working with bug tracking, collaboration tools (preferably Atlassian toolchain JIRA, Confluence)VMware Certified Professional or Data Center Virtualization CertificationProficiency with VMware software-defined Storage solutions: vSAN, Enterprise networks (SDN) Software Defined Networking NSX-T, DNS, TCP/IP, Load BalancersUnderstanding of DevOps concepts such as Infrastructure as Code Required, and CI/CD build pipelinesPrior experience as a Systems Administrator, Solutions Engineer, Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Technology Consultant a plusRequires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM), or related STEM degree program from an Accredited University/School/College or equivalent on the job experience, with at least 5-7 years of related work experienceHere s our story; now tell us yoursDell Technologies helps organizations and individuals build a brighter digital tomorrow.
