Job Description

    Senior Accountant - Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Accounts Manager to oversee and manage our companys financial transactions, records, and reporting. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial data, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and contributing to the financial health of the organization.Key Responsibilities:Financial Record Keeping:Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts payable/receivable.Verify and reconcile transactions, invoices, and receipts for accuracy.Financial Reporting:Prepare regular financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Analyze financial data and present insights to senior management for informed decision-making.Budget Management:Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.Track expenses and revenues to. provide variance analysis and recommendations for cost control.Accounts Payable and Receivable:Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors and suppliers.Oversee accounts receivable functions, monitor customer payments, and follow up on overdue accounts.Bank Reconciliation:Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or irregularities.Taxation and Compliance:Ensure compliance with local and national tax regulations and reporting requirements.Collaborate with external auditors and tax authorities during audits and assessments.Financial Analysis:Analyze financial data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for financial growth.Assist in generating financial forecasts and projections.Process Improvement:Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes for increased efficiency and accuracy.Implement best practices and suggest system enhancements as needed.Team Collaboration:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure seamless financial operations.Provide financial expertise and support to various departments.Qualifications and Skills:Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with minimum 4 years in a managerial capacity.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and taxation.Proficiency in using Tally accounting software.Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant tools.
