Job Description

BNP Paribas GSO Chennai would be the extended team of Investment Operations team and responsible for delivering the services related to Security Master, Pricing, Benchmark and Reconciliations processes which are currently under transition from BNP Paribas Asset Management Brussels S.A.BNP Paribas Asset Management is part of BNP Paribas Group and is responsible for the process of managing and monitoring assets, on behalf of individual and corporate clients. BNPP AM offers funds and mandates towards his clients. These funds & mandates are managed by Portfolio Managers, who are based in the different locations across the globe.Investment Operations is responsible for handling and monitoring all services, in order that the Portfolio Managers are able to manage daily their portfolios. Security Master Operations is one of the teams within Investment Operations.You, as a member of the team Security Master & Pricing Operations, will be responsible for the daily creation of financial instruments and Funds / Mandates, daily monitoring and validation and publication of prices for all instruments. Besides the creation, you will provide effective support to internal and external clients and you will work on frequent projects related to data quality enhancement as well as process improvement. Understand the valuation (prices / Mark to Market + analytics) process of all kinds of financial instruments. Make sure that the pricing strategy is fully applied. Responsibilities Direct Responsibilities Security Master

• Review the security in the security master database of Aladdin within a specific time frame to allow the trade booked by fund manager to reflect in the positions of a portfolio. ( 30 minutes)
• Adhere to the data quality controls on the Security Master Database.
• Cope with the requests from Internal and External clients who encounter difficulties related to instrument data.
• Able to manipulate and Analyse static data.
• Follow up of improvement projects relating to the Security Data database.
• Write, update and follow procedures

Pricing

• Monitor and validate prices and analytics received by providers for all instruments.
• Compute and publish prices to downstream systems and external entities.
• Investigate and analyse any strange value (high/no fluctuation, inconsistency of the figures ).
• Be critical of existing procedures and propose improvements where possible
• Act proactively on any issue and provide the final users with consistent and structured answers.
• Reconciliate prices with the fund administrators.
• Follow-up of daily activity via accurate Reporting and Dashboards (Key Performance Indicator, stale price report.).
• Produce accurate financial data on request and report independently with minimal supervision.
• Responsible for the accurate daily production of the OTC Prices
• Check of market data inputs from internal and external sources and ensure they are correctly updated
• Collect valuations from counterparties
• Make the internal calculation and run all the required price checks
• Investigate discrepancies in the pricing and explain the gaps using your knowledge of the models
• Ensure the delivery of the OTC prices to downstream systems and external clients (e.g. fund accountants)
• Active role in development and implementation of new valuation processes.
• Follow up of any issue around OTC Prices and provide the end users with consistent and structured answers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the teams processes.
• Produce accurate financial data on request and report independently with minimal supervision.
• Act as a back-up for other team members

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

• 1 to 3 Years of experience in the field of Static Data or Pricing (Listed & OTC) would be preferable.
• Working experience with the most important data providers: Bloomberg, Telekurs, Reuters.

Specific Qualifications (if required)

• 1 to 3 Years of experience in the field of Static Data or Pricing (Listed & OTC) would be preferable.
• Graduation / Post Graduation from the recognized University.
• Specific interest or qualification in Mathematics is an added advantage.
• Working experience with the most important data providers: Bloomberg, Telekurs, Reuters.
