Job Description

    JOB DESCRIPTION Job Position Senior Design EngineerJOB SUMMARY The Senior Design Engineer is a senior-level position who will play a critical role in overseeing the design anddevelopment processes, ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of our heavy equipment products, The SeniorDesign Engineer will lead a team of engineers and designers, while also actively participate in research anddevelopment activities related to hydraulic systems, structural designs and pneumatic designs.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and manage a team of engineers and designers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaborationand continuous learning.Oversee the design and development process of heavy equipment, ensuring compliance with the industry standards, client specifications and company guidelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, sales and marketing, to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions. Possess strong knowledge and expertise in hydraulic systems, structural designs, and pneumatic designs with a particular focus on masts, power packs, air compressors, and related equipment.Perform R&D activities to explore new technologies, materials and processes to enhance product performance efficiency and safety. Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation, adhering to design principles, industry standards, quality assurance and protocols. Conduct regular design reviews, schematic drawings and risk assessments, identifying potential issues and improvements and providing technical guidance to the team. Develop and maintain BOM for equipment designs, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements. Collaborate with procurement teams to source and select appropriate materials, components and suppliers for the manufacturing process. Stay up to date with industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory changes incorporating best practices into product designs and development processes. Creating computer models to test new designs and stimulate performance under different conditions. Leads testing procedures for prototypes before they are passed to the production team.Design a new hydraulic system powered by a diesel engine as the prime moverSizing up of additional internal hydraulic pump with necessary accessories and supported with engineering calculations as per requirementsDesign of existing pneumatic system with necessary tweaks additional accessories like actuator/valve) to achieve multipurpose functionsContinuous engagement with manufacturer/OEM and ensuring the latest product available in the market is updated in listingsApproving detailed BOM of each Engineering DesignFamiliar with all classification societys and authorities rules and regulations applicableRequirements:o Strong knowledge and understanding of hydraulic systems, structural design and pneumatic designs, particularly in the context of well intervention equipment.
